The Brotherhood's War on Egyptian Christians

The list of churches and Christian institutions attacked by the Muslim Brotherhood and its supporters in Egypt is growing.

The most recent count is over 50. Those are the ones we know about.

And it's not only churches that have been targeted: Bible Society bookstores in Cairo, Fayoum, and Assyut have also been attacked and the YMCA building in Minya was set ablaze.

Please pray for our brothers and sisters in that country.

Pray for all the people, not just the Christians. Pray that God would change the hearts of those who are doing the murdering. Do not forget, Apostle Paul murdered Christians with great fervor and look at how God changed him.

Muslims are not too fond of Christians. My aunt married an Egyptian Christian in the 1960s, and they had to leave the country because Christians were being harassed, and even killed.

Yeah. The recent military attack on the brotherhood supporters is way over the top. Death toll is in the 100s at least. Pray for those families as well.

True. Most of the attacks now are against the Muslim brotherhood supporters.

A sweeping generalization. It depends on what part of the world the Muslims are in as to how they view people of different faiths. The same can be said in a general way in America that Christians are not very fond of Muslims but show favoritism toward Jews.

Yep. I cannot understand praying for just the Christians. MANY people are suffering. My prayer is for peace.

Either all life is precious or it's not. If you're going to pray for the Christians why would you not pray for the rest?

I think it's also a time for us to think about and be thankful for the freedom we have in this country. Churches will be open on Sunday. People will not be chased out the back door because of their faith. People will be able to worship as they choose in the place they choose. Houses of worship will not be looted and people will not have to pray in secret. Millions of people in this world don't have that blessing.
