Unhappy Illegitimate children of priests

Have you ever heard any stories of Catholic priests fathering children with women despite the laws of celibacy? What do you think it's like to be a priest's child?

I mentioned that someone in my family was a priest who had four daughters by a mistress. These daughters were long shunned by my family because their father had broken his vow of celibacy and they were the product of that. The only surviving one still talks about how her husband didn't initially know that she was a priest's child.

If your familty shunned these children, then your family members aren't very good Christians.

I'm sure there are more than we will ever know. God never intended for any man to be without his wife. As I've said before, Catholicism fills Christianity with rules and regulations that just aren't supported by scripture. Men have natural sexual desire for women. For a man to distance himself from marriage and intimacy with his wife will only build temptation in their life. Its not natural or scriptural for a man not to be with a woman. To believe otherwise is to believe God did something bad when He made woman for man.

Well, calling any child "illegitimate" isn't going to help their situation. It's like saying they are unacceptable, unworthy, and less than others simply because of how they were brought into this world. So, when people stop calling them that, and stop having that mindset towards them, maybe that will help.
