Jesus is the husband of his bride(church) If we believe that we are one with God, then when we speak within the church it is the husband(Jesus) who speaks through us isn't it? The church is the body of believers and not an actual building.(where three are gathered in my name, there am I also--church?) As Christians we are no longer an "I" but a we, with Jesus as the head. He IS the husband of His bride.

God has ALWAYS been married to us--Jeremiah 3:14

God has no respect of persons and can, will and does speak through whom he chooses regardless of race, sex or color. Isn't women submit to their husbands an example that all the bride submit to God? Eve was created for Adam as the bride is for the husband.

No respect of persons---Romans 2:11--Colossians 3:11 and 3:25--**Galatians 3:28--Ephesians 6:9--1 Peter 1:17--Genesis 1:27

If everyone is responsible for themselves (own sins) and there is no respect of persons according to God. Then shouldn't all who know the truth be sharing their faith? (preaching and teaching)--There were prophetesses--(higher rank than preacher and teacher) 1 Corinthians--12:28 --and this is a list according to rank***If God allows women to be Prophets, then any rank beneath would also be allowed.

I know that it says both things in the New Testament--but it's always one person that has said both things--(Paul)--Why? Did Paul lean on his own understanding? (God always allows man to do this--even in the Bible)

Female prophetesses--9 of them--Miriam, Deborah, Huldah, Anna, Isaiah's wife, Daughters of Phillip(4)
Joel 2:28-29--sons and daughters will prophesize

Teach women and children, yes. Be prophets? Absolutely, the Bible tells of many women who prophecied. Be a priest (preacher), bishop or deacon? No. Those positions are for men only.

We are called to obedience to the Father,His govern, not our own, nor that of men.Secondly, Jesus provided the Holy Spirit to teach his believers, in His place . He directly instructed the disciples NOT to be called Rabbi=teacher, or master or father .They disobeyed . Will you as well ? If you call Jesus Lord why do those things contrary to His word ? One whom is obedient to the teaching of the Holy Spirit can do no better than that.Asking others what the justification is for a POSITION , Jesus laid it out already. Ask Him about what you should be doing, not men . If in deed He is your Lord . In love.

Not if they want to operated within the will of God.

1Ti 3:2 Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,

1Ti 2:12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent.

Now this covers conduct within the local congregation, generally in a worship service. She is certainly free however, to teach children, visit old age homes, nursing homes, speak with neighbors and friends or anyone else she wants to share the Gospel with.

(1Cor. 12:28And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues). Where in this scripture did Paul speak of prophetess and their ranking? You're adding to God's word when you USED the word... “prophetess” which implies women. When clearly it say “Prophets”, which implies men. Now to answer your question, God ,(Jehovah God ,(Exo. 6:3), used plenty of women who worshiped him in the days of old, just to name a few...(Judge4:4,5 And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel atthat time. And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramahand Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment. Exo. 15:20 And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. And 2Kgs. 22:14,15 So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, andAchbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Har has, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college and they communed with her. And she said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Tell the man that sent you to me).

But again NO women can preach over Jehovah God's people, they didn't doit then, and they can't do it now. ANY religion that allows this, isn't isn't Jehovah's true servants. And they're NOT true followers of Jesus. ONLY satan's ministers ,(2Cor.11:13-15), would have people believing women can teach, especially over men in a congregation. But then satan has his ministers looking like servants of Jehovah and Jesus. Jesus didn't recruit women to be Apostles for a reason. These men were to take up where he left off , which was teaching his people ,(Matt. 10:5-15 , Matt. 10:16,17 and John 20:21Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you). There’s a reason why women can't teach over the God of Israel's congregation. And the reason was eve! ,(1Tim. 2:11-14 Let the woman learn insilence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression). But we are to be disciples which we can spread God's words, And we can teach. We just can't lead a congregation. peace

The prophetess Deborah was a judge who ruled men and armies. God trusted her and placed her as ruler over men. She was a warrior.

Huldah considered a King her equal--as just another man. She was chosen by God to interpret His word.

As Bill Gates said to Saudi Arabia when they asked him if their country could be a worldwide power.

"Well, if you're not utilizing half the talent in the country, then your not going to get too close to the top."

Someone in another thread said that "prophetess" is not appropriate, and that is correct; the proper term is "prophet" regardless of gender. There is no "rank" in the body of Christ, there are just functions which different people perform. No there are no gender distinctions and Paul (if he wrote those things at all, which I doubt) was just expressing a cultural attitude, as he did about long hair on men.

Paul seems to take a rather dim view of women.

The original misogynist.

Not original at all, really, and the attitude didn't take hold in the church organization until the self-appointed clergy started trying to reconcile the message of Christ with Greek philosophy, Neo-Platonism in particular.
