Yes, my beef is with people trying to tell me what to believe about God, about Christ, and about everything and trying to condemn me if I don't see things the same way they do. That's my beef.

I would suggest these folks were already a taco short of a combo plate....and it's playing out in this way. We're they atheists it might be that they would do something equally strange and horrific...but different.

For many religion is like living under the law but do not have the Spirit to do so. The Spirit is liberating from sin unto love, joy, kindness, longsuffering, wisdom and more.

JAS 1:27 "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."

Nothing crazy about the true religion of God the Father.
