And what about Gehenna? It will be re-instituted during the Millennium as a garbage dump where they will burn DEAD BODIES their who received the death penalty. They will not be burned ALIVE:

Isaiah 66:23-24 And it comes, according to the monthly quota in its month, and according to the sabbath quota in its sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before Me in Jerusalem, says Yahweh." But the above is not about hell. God never warned anyone about a hell.

God never once said "If you don't believe in Jesus you will go to Hell
."
If that is true, why do many Christians say Jesus spoke more about hell than anything else ?.

Some of them took the time to count how many times he said the word hell too?. For where your treasure is, there also your heart will be.

If you bother to actually read scriptures you'd know that through out scriptures that there are warnings all through it, in fact hell Is first mentioned in the old testament.

One's own resistance to God, manufactures a blindness , like wearing dark glasses , refusing to see all the light.
It seems only the "desperate to know God" are wiling to take off the shades and let go of their rebellion and invite God in.
God does not force belief, nor force faith.
That has to be the act of the individual .
One glitch remains a problem though .
It seems that a compulsive liar has the most difficulty with this .
Dear arleigh,
That is true that the Bible does not contain every single thing God ever said. But it does contain every single word He wanted us to know concerning a revelation of Himself, His Son and His goals.

You stated:
"in fact hell Is first mentioned in the old testament."
The very first use of the word "hell" is found here:
Deu_32:22 For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains. (KJV).

However, the Hebrew word behind "hell" in the KJV is Sheol and would be better translated as "grave" or "tomb."

If "hell" is real . . . if eternal hell and damnation is real, why did God wait thousands of years after Adam was created to tell us such a place even exists? And in Deuteronomy He didn't even tell those Israelites that that hell was eternal.

You wrote:
"God does not force belief, nor force faith." Actually, He does force it. How else could He save us? We would refuse every day of our lives if left to us to make a choice.

Jesus used the very same words when He warned about being thrown into eternal hell where: Mark 9:48 "'the worms that eat them do not die, and the fire is not quenched.'

Really Finn? Jesus really spoke of eternal hell fire? Is that like the everlasting fires of Sodom and Gomorrah which went out thousands of years ago? Jud 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (KJV) or: Jud 1:7 As Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities about them in like manner to these committing ultra-prostitution, and coming away after other flesh, are lying before us, a specimen, experiencing the justice of fire eonian." (Concordant Literal) The fire, being eonian is that which pertains to the eon. No eon is eternal. The bible says they all end. Therefore it is impossible for their to be an eternal hell.

Finn, why do you think God was silent to the whole human race concerning your idea of hell if, indeed, it really is like you think it is? Wouldn't you have told Adam and Eve to tell their children how to escape it? Why all the secrecy? Wouldn't you have told Noah to tell all those people before they drowned? Wouldn't you at least tell Noah?

It was hidden within the imaginations of men!

There's no doubt in my mind that if some of the posters on this forum could see the souls falling into hell with their own eyes they still wouldn't believe. Jesus was right in saying, that many will not believe, even if they someone rises from the dead. The Jewish leadership knew Jesus had risen and still didn't believe. Same thing today.
