The second time he sexually abused my daughter. I now see and speak and do for the first brother and have forgiven him--he hasn't changed--I have. The second brother has changed and now has a handicapped daughter and normal son to care for, he's a Christian and has been for a long time and tried several times to reach me. I haven't yet seen him to tell him that I forgive him he lives away from here--but I finally have. We were all raised within the same abusive childhood--we all grew up with different problems to deal with---we all grew up emotionally handicapped, it takes a long time to grow yourself up. I finally have but it was God who did it.

The riddle doesn't make sense to me because of the shoes. What are slow shoes ?. Are they symbolic of something ?.

God's ways are to lose to gain, to be last to be first, to give to receive.

A test. Torpedos gave the best answer. The outer shoe carries the true importance--the life within. Give your brother one of your shoes to share the kingdom equally and then take your time to enjoy the trip and don't worry about a race to the end.
Live life in peace and harmony for a great long time as equals by charity of all things with love.

I agree with what you are saying, but it doesn't seem to tie with the riddle,if it did, why did the sons run like the clappers at the word of the wiseman ?.

There are two answers to that.
Either they were both greedy and each wanted to inherit all OR the truly strong one spiritually knew his BROTHER was greedy and he knew he wanted to get there first to be able to share will all people equally. God makes leaders teachers for the weaker and less mature. He sets examples. The choice was upon each son and his purpose for the race within each man with his God.
It wouldn't be judging his brother if he knew him well enough by the examples that he had shown. Torpedos gave a very good answer and it's the path that most people choose. There are some in the world that God at times pulls out of the crowd to run a specific race for Him to set forth a clearer path for others to follow--the ones who hear wisdom, understand it and fight for it bravely.

I agree with that, but still don't think it ties with the riddle .in my opinion I think there is to much info missing from the riddle to solve it, like the nature of the 2 sons. The Lord bless you too.
