Col 2:8 "See that no one shall carry you away as spoil through philosophy"
James 3:15 not all wisdom comes from above, but is earthly, physical, demon-like (YLT)
That is all what is not according to Christ and His word. No excuse.
If Satan is your master you are lost, Julian. All unbelievers are under his rule. Sadly most Christians are mixed up (Babylon) and Satan has still influence. They need deliverance. We have a free will, we can submit to God or to the enemy, it is our choice. Satan and his demons are real.
If Satan does not control people through demons, why are there addictions people cannot get away from? No one can blame Satan, he only can tempt us, we still make the decisions. But if someone is addicted he has come under the rule of a demon. Jesus cast them out and healed in this way people. Some demons leave only through prayer and fasting.

I guess in biblical times academics and knowledge were not well received.
Quote:
Colossians 2:4-10
New International Version (NIV)
4 I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding arguments. 5 For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit and delight to see how disciplined you are and how firm your faith in Christ is.
Spiritual Fullness in Christ
6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, 7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces[a] of this world rather than on Christ.
9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.
I give you credit for finding a quote that despises knowledge and wisdom in favor of religious dogma.
You seem to forget that these men were solely into religion. They sound a lot like Muslims. I wish you luck with this anti-knowledge method.

Satan is a very real danger to each and every person on earth. The Bible warns about him explicitly in many places. Anyone not heeding the warnings is a fool.
1Pe 5:8 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Julian: America is under Satanic influence. Look at the crime, the immorality, abortion, murder, drugs. Satan is having a field day. But the Muslims fail to see that they also are under Satanic influence since their answer to our problems is idolatry and murder.
Philosophers are have no answer to anything. To them, life is meaningless. Just more blind guides, leading others into their pit.

For example:

"Her eyes twinkled like stars"
"Gareth is like a lion when he gets angry".
"And the executioner went off like an arrow"
Folks, the key is not to take the words literally.
"Curley was flopping like a fish on a line" Does not mean he is a fish. It is just a bit of poetry."
nor does it mean that Curley doesn't exist either .... which is what you're fooled into thinking.

The problem is that If Satan exists; and if Satan is a fallen Angel; and if this fallen Angel was created by God--------then God has created EVIL. And this causes a monumental theological problem.
You cannot have God creating EVIL. That diminishes God big time and the folks on Earth have to explain why God was EVIL.
What to do? The theologians of that mythological era tried to explain EVIL by using the EVIL twin analogy.
God is in charge of everything that is GOOD.
And Satan is responsible for all EVIL.
And voilá case solved!
Not so fast Dude! In this scheme Satan still the creation of God.
We know one thing: There is EVIL in the world. Where does EVIL come from?
What is the definition of EVIL?
The most famous theologians define EVIL as simply the absence of GOOD.
How can we have EVIL and maintain God's reputation intact?
God sends Jesus to redeem us through His death. Then God cedes this earth to Satan, the God of Evil. We are left in thrall to Satan, and God and Jesus go off on Their merry way.
Nope. You folks are stuck in your medieval superstitions, 1500 years of hate and fear and superstition.
God did NOT cede this world to Satan. He ceded this world to US!!!!! It is WE who are responsible for our destinies.
Sorry you folks are stuck in the middle ages.
PS I will be celebrating Satanism by handing out candy to kids dressed for Satanic worship. How about you?
