Are you calling Yeshua a liar
As a result, this generation will be charged with the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the foundation of the world, 51from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, all of it will be charged to this generation.

Mathew 24 is written to the JEWISH disciples and also for the Jews of today in Israel, and covers the upcoming Tribulation.

He did return( in a sense) its called the presence. It occurred here at Rev 6-- See--he receives his crown. The first ride of the white horse=righteous war. There are 2 in revelation, The war in heaven, and Har-mageddon. Rev 6 is the war in heaven--Michael rode that ride--He got the crown, but only Jesus is getting the crown, proving Michael is Jesus. Jesus rides at Har-mageddon--this is when he returns to earth. Most will not like that.

Matthew 24 also has Jesus stating this shall all happen in their generation though...thats a tough one to get past.

Even if you try to explain it with the old, 'Gods version of time is different than mans version'...well, in this verse, Jesus was talking to human beings, so naturally he would be referring to a version of time THEY could understand and comprehend. It would be illogical to refer to a version of time only God understood, when his audience was humans.

Amen
16 Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek:

2 Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium.

3 Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek.

4 And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem.

5 And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.

No, he is instructing people who have died daily every day in Passover, and who study every day in Pentecost, and he is explaining EXACTLY what happens when the son of man comes again IN YOU, no matter what year you are born, he is explaining the first high holy day of the fall, and then proceeding to explain what happens to a believer once he has crossed over in his second season that the coming of Christ may happen in YOU. The second coming is when a person completes his first 42 months in the spring and Jesus is describing exactly what happens. He is speaking of a Temple not made of hands, HE ISN'T speaking of a literal temple. What Jesus is saying is in parable, there is NOTHING IN MATTHEW 24 that is literal so that just anyone can read it. He is specifically speaking of what takes place on Tishri 1, and then the ten days to Yom Kippur leading up to the feast of Tabernacles at the second coming of Christ in EVERY ONE who seeks Christ earnestly.

All of this is hidden because the Christian doesn't know his appointed days and what he is to be doing and saying and expecting on each day to receive the promises of each day.

The sacrifices are cut off IN YOU, On Rosh Hashanah, YOU are that temple.

The ' them ' at Matthew 24:2,4 are Jesus' disciples or his first-century followers, and by way of extension us.
Both Matthew 24 and Luke 21 have a 'minor' and a 'MAJOR' fulfillment.
The ' you ' in the modern-day MAJOR part are Jesus' modern-day followers.
So, to me it is collectively a personal 'you', and as a Christian congregation as a whole a plural 'YOU' for including all genuine Christians.

.
The smaller or ' minor ' fulfillment of Matthew 24 and Luke 21 came in the year 70 when the Roman armies destroyed un-faithful Jerusalem.
See also Luke 19:43-44; Luke 21:20; Matthew 24:15. That abomination proved to be the Roman armies.

The ' generation ' of our day is connected to the larger or MAJOR fulfillment of Matthew 24 and Luke 21.
The abomination of our day will be when the political/military turns on the corrupted religious world starting with un-faithful Christendom because she claims to follow the God of the Bible but mostly follows church customs or church traditions over Scripture. Adverse judgement will thus start with that un-faithful 'House of God' as per 1st Peter 4:17.

I find the natural/fleshly' Israel of God' nation ended at Pentecost.
Jesus fulfilled the Mosaic Law as per Romans 10:4
So, both the Jewish and Gentile people of the nations who became Christian disciples are covered by Matthew 24; Luke 21.
So, since Pentecost the Israel of God is now ' Spiritual Israel ' as per Romans 2:28-29. ( a spiritual nation )
Jerusalem "above" is Now mother according to Galatians 4:26
So, 'Spiritual Israel ' is the Christian congregation as a nation with No boundaries, or No borders found on any map.
The Jewish disciples who fled un-faithful Jerusalem in the year 70 were spared that tribulation.
The great tribulation of Revelation 7:14 is the tribulation for our day or time frame before Jesus, as Prince of Peace, ushers in global Peace on Earth among persons of goodwill when the start of calendar Day One of Jesus' coming 1,000-year governmental rule over Earth begins.
