why do people say that the rich people won't make it to Heaven?

people dont say it, Jesus did. he said it was difficult not impossible.
its because you lose your faith when you got lots of money.
you depend on your roll instead of God.

I always thought Jesus said that anyone who turns away from their sins and focuses on God and becomes Born Again will enter Heaven regardless of their wealth, I know a lot of rich people can get cocky towards their wealth and their riches.

Correct you are. No man, no "church", no works can save us.

I recall when my wife and I were interviewing for a mission work that one day we were asked "why do you believe you will enter heaven?". My wife and I said at almost the same time, "because of what Jesus did for us". The interviewer said that he rarely got that answer, which is the only correct answer. So many will give you a list of things they have done. How simple it is yet how hard for some to believe.
