Far too many believers are feeling dirty, worthless and ashamed of themselves; shame is a silent, but deadly disease that pollutes the lifeblood of many believers faith. As a result, we feel unclean and therefore unworthy to approach God and have the living and intimate relationship that he wants to have with us. Shame prevents us from intimacy with God because it makes us feel unworthy and distant from him. God’s standard is nothing less than perfection and none of us measure up, if we did or we ever could measure up sufficiently righteous for heaven through our performance, we would not have needed a savior at all. Excellent post!~ Have you been called to write for God?
Sin and hypocrisy will always cause shame in man. Other causes: backsliding, human fear, selfishness, and all wrong doing. This is of course dependent upon one listening to one's conscience for guidance in life. The atheist, agnostic and many non-believers have hardened their hearts and will not listen to their conscience's. Sins that shame Christians often have no effect on the atheist.
It needs to be said as a reminder to children of the living God that Satan and unclean spirits will always try to use shame as a weapon against you. There is no weapon they will NOT use against you.
Innocence, trust in God, hope, the gospel, faith, self-improvement and all righteousness will never make one ashamed. The gospel teaches that whosoever believes the truth with the whole heart will not be ashamed (Rom. 9:33). The secret to deliverance from hypocrisy and shame is to know the truth which will set you free (Jn. 8:32-36; Rom. 1:16)
Christians are Righteous Heirs through Jesus Christ of the Kingdom of Heaven and sovereign with Jesus , and have already been Judged by Jesus Christ , where Father God sees repentant believers equal in standing to Jesus in Heaven ................And this is not a proud posture and controlling spirits is not here, but it is more of a honor through the worship of abiding under the wing of the fortitude of God and His will ....................Then in the world which believers live through out their lives sin is common and many people give the devil authority to be in the earth , so when believers fall into sin and then repent and turn away from the sin to Jesus then it never happen and Jesus does not remember it again , so if others come and condemn people and look down and never forgive the sin which they are condemning then they are sinners out of the will of God and taking Jesus Job as the Saviour Judge .................. So for this shame is just a recognition of error of sin and then the prelude to repentance and then redemption , to freedom in Christ ....And this repentance shame has nothing to do with calling of Christ and calling which they do not have ............. So if others are condemning believers who have repented ,dehumanizing or devaluing believers and judging them and correcting them unloving prayerlessness with no redemption in act , as believers should see the clear hypocrisy

Great post.
but wait... there's more!
Shame is the work of the evil one... and conviction is the work of God's Holy Spirit. Shame puts you in prison, makes you run to your cave, but conviction opens your eyes and makes you step out into His light.
Some will try to tell you it's the same thing... but it ain't.

Having believed in Christ, we were transferred from the dominion of darkness into the kingdom of God's beloved Son (Col. 1:3). We were adopted as sons into the royal family of God (Gal. 4:5). We were appointed as royal priests (1 Pet. 2:5). We were entered into union with Christ (Gal. 3:27-28). And being positionally in Christ we were positionally raised up and seated with Christ at the right hand of the Father (Eph. 2:6). God imputed His very own perfect righteousness to us and with the result that He then pronounced us justified (Rom. 4:3; 5:1; Tit. 3:7). Because we as believers are positionally in Christ God sees us positionally, not experientially until we become spiritually mature, but He sees us positionally as mature sons. And these are things which we should know.
Having said all of that, and since the topic of this thread is shame, let me now touch on another aspect of shame. And that is shame that the believer who does not fulfill the purpose for which God leaves us in this life after salvation will experience at the judgment seat of Christ. 1 John 2:28 tells us that it is possible for the believer to shrink away from Christ in shame at His coming.
1 John 2:28 Now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming.
This is speaking of the believer experiencing temporary shame at the judgment seat of Christ. Sin will never be mentioned at the judgment seat of Christ which is for the purpose of evaluating believers for rewards as per 1 Cor. 3:13-15 and 2 Cor. 5:10. But the believer who has borne no fruit and has no crown to cast at the feet of Jesus at the judgment seat of Christ (not to be confused with the great white throne judgment of Rev. 20:11 which is for unbelievers only) will experience shame at that time. It will only be a temporary shame, but it will be real and it will doubtless be intense as the believer realizes that he squandered the time that God gave him on this earth after salvation.
Abiding in Christ refers to being in fellowship with God (1 John 1:6), of being filled with the Spirit (Eph. 5:18).
In contrast with our permanent position in Christ which we can never be removed from, our temporal relationship with God is marred when we commit a sin. When we simply acknowledge our sins to God as per 1 John 1:9 our temporal fellowship, our abiding in Christ is restored. It is only when we are in fellowship, when we are abiding in Christ that we can bear fruit which is acceptable to God. If we have borne no fruit, then we will experience shame at the judgment seat of Christ. But again, it will only be temporary.
Here is a brief article which addresses the subject of shame at the judgment seat of Christ.
Is it any wonder when all 3 unfortunately are used in evangelism.
You're a sinner(Shame) condemned(guilty) to eternal hell(fear) to get folk to believe Jesus Christ
Shame, guilt and fear are for those who have not come to Christ yet. To deny it is to call God a liar and deny the truth. If you never realized you were a sinner and condemned then you have not yet come to Christ. For you cannot turn from what you are not aware of. Is this you? Have you not realized you are a sinner in need of Jesus Christ?

Where do you get that from ?. Show me where Jesus Christ want around calling folks sinners, heaping guilt on them and condemning them. You can't he we around doing good
It was his goodness that turned folk back to them and still does, regardless of how they saw themselves or felt about themselves. Romans 2:4

To use it as a form of evangelism is behaving like a devil. You need to show me by scriptures that Christ's intent was to prove that we are sinners.
Jesus went to a house of a man called Zacchaeus, he never said a word to him, what Zacchaeus saw was not his sin, but God's heart towards him in spite of it. This is exactly what Romans 2:4 is saying, by the goodness of God revealed to us we return back to him. No shame, guilt or condemnation used by Jesus Christ. All 3 of these things were written over the rocks of those who were going to stone the women caught in adultery, and all 3 came back upon them, for with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
