Daniel B. Wallace is an internationally known Greek New Testament scholar and expert in Biblical Textual Criticism. Here is his biography with credentials - Bio | Daniel B. Wallace.

In this first video he talks about the vast number of New Testament manuscripts available to us. In the second video he speaks about the reliability of the New Testament. The third video is a debate between Dr. Dan Wallace and Dr. Bart Ehrman (Bible scholar turned agnostic.) It is well worth your time to listen to these videos. And there are a lot of videos on YouTube regarding Biblical textual criticism. Can we trust the Bible? The answer of course is, yes we can!!!

Awesome links. I have met Dr. Wallace a few years ago, along with his family. Very great people, and Dr. Wallace is a fantastic scholar who does a great job of making complex information accessible for non-Bible scholars.

He's one of the best. And he puts out a lot of information on his website which he updates regularly. - Daniel B. Wallace

Dr. Darrell L. Bock, Dr. Daniel B. Wallace, and Dr. Ben Witherington - Jesus, Canon and Theology.

A discussion on various controversies and misunderstandings concerning the canon of scripture.

Dr. Darrell L. Bock, Dr. Daniel B. Wallace, and Dr. Ben Witherington - Jesus, Canon and Theology - YouTube

I like what Dr. Bock says 34 min. 53 sec. into the video. He says,
Did the original writers of the New Testament think they were inspired by God to say what they did? In 1st Thessalonians Paul says about his proclamation in Thessaloniki, he says, ''you received what I said to you not as words from human beings but as it actually was, the Word of God.'' Did they believe they were proclaiming the Word of God? Answer; Yes they did. They absolutely believed that. In the Book of Acts we have chronicled the growth of the Word of God. They had a sense of their inspiration. They believed they had the Holy Spirit. They believed in an oral culture. They were proclaiming the Word of God. And frankly, a written scripture is just the literary residue of the orally proclaimed living Word of God. That's what they believed.

"Man cannot comprehend the existence of error, when too deeply immersed in it."

In other words, if you begin with an error; you end up with an error:

A deviation from accuracy or correctness.

Although, we can always celebrate, if you replace the "i" with an "e" and add an "r"
... of course, you can choose to remain celibate without experience, or even a clue.

Interesting debate (listened to it twice)!

I would be curious to know what others think about the debate?
Personally, although their lips were moving - there was nothing conclusive.

After all, you don't have the Originals, only copies of copies.

However, from an outsiders point of view:

Ehrman = 1
Wallace = 0
