Jesus told the apostles that what they loosed or bound on earth would be loosed or bound in heaven. I think that's where the idea came in that certain mortal men could damn, or bind a man or group of people, or a nation to 'hell"

Damn comes from a French word, 'damnere' I believe and simply is the idea of loss. When a judgment went against someone they typically had to reimburse the suing party for something they stole or damaged and thus they lost some of their personal wealth or goods. It was a legal term and in no way indicated total irreversible loss of body and soul to the one who received the negative judgment.

Over time it got mixed up with meaning sending someone's eternal soul to hell where he would experience unending misery and no amount of logical explanations will change peoples minds on that matter. Do you really think that the almighty creator of heaven and earth and all creatures therein is going to listen to some peacock of a man who thinks he's better than someone else as to wherea person or nation is going to spend the rest of eternity? Really think you so? Then you have a strange and limited idea about the Creator.

My God says that nothing interferes with His will for His creation down to the last sparrow. Jesus/Yeshua came to save the lost and we are all lost when we come into this world. He chastised the apostles who wanted to bring fire down on a city who rejected Him. There definitely IS chastisement and correction for incorrect thinking and inclinations but it is for the betterment of the recipients and when all is said and done God WILL BE ALL IN ALL.

Rejoice and be glad for God is in control of His creation, despite what it might look like at the present time.

Damnation works like all things in life work. It's a choice. God doesn't send anyone anywhere. Who you belong to, comes for you. If you are a Christian, you will be taken to Heaven by a transport or sometimes Jesus himself. But it's usually by a transport. Angels guard you to safely take you over. If you are not a Christian, you will be taken to Hell by demons. Whatever happens, you made it happen by your choices on this Earth.

allenK- what Bible verses do you have in mind to back up what you say ^ above ^ ?_______

According to Scripture Jesus was in the Bible's hell, but Not any demons- Acts 2 vs 27,31; Psalm 16 v 10

Jesus now has the keys to unlock the Bible's hell according to Rev. 1 v 18

Jesus will use the keys during his millennial reign over earth and unlock hell until everyone in hell is 'delivered up' meaning resurrected out of hell before emptied-out hell is cast vacant into a symbolic ' second death ' for vacated hell.
- Rev. 20 vs 13,14

In Scripture there are only two [2 ] types of sins:
Sin is either: on purpose or not, intentional or not, willful or not, premeditated or not, accidentally or not.......

As 2nd Peter 3 v 9,7 mentions the choice is: repent or perish [ be destroyed ]

All wicked ones will be destroyed forever according to Psalm 92 v 7
Wicked ones as those committing the unforgivable sin of Matthew 12 v 32; Hebrews 6 vs 4 - 6; 10 v 26,
and the haughty ' goats' of Matthew 25 vs 31,32 at the soon coming ' time of separation ' before Jesus ushers in global Peace on Earth among men of goodwill.
