I heard a very good statement the other day...."Baptism is not a work that we do, baptism is God working in us."

Acts 16:31 Paul and Silas told the jailer how to be saved when they said "Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved you and your household.

Acts 2:21 "And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved"

John 6:29 "The work of God is this to believe in the one he has sent"

John 6:47 "I tell you the truth he who believes has everlasting life"

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son that whomsoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life"

Notice there is nothing that says he who is baptized in any of these NT verses that teaches us how to be saved. I am not saying we shouldn't be baptized I am saying its not what gets us to heaven.
So you believe all anyone has to do is believe?

Sure, I agree that it will be Christians. But what makes one a Christian? Do they have to obey the gospel of Christ to be a Christian?

So the other verses that say how to be saved along with believing are meaningless. Were they just put in for filler? From the scriptures you use I would think I don't even have to live a christian life to be saved. I just have to believe there is God. I don't need to repent or confess to get to heaven or is baptism the only thing I don't have to do to get to heaven. If there is one scripture that tells me I need to be baptized to be saved that is enough for me, but there are more that one.
