. . . why would God have to pray or feel the need to pray to God?

to make it as simple as I can. to set the example, while in flesh. and even still we need help from God, to pray.
Romans 8:26 " Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Jesus is God, but when he was on earth he was in human form.

And Christianity teaches that all humans should pray to God.

2 lovesMountains,

this is true. most people don’t know that our Lord Jesus is God in Flesh and bones, with blood on earth. but risen, without NATURAL LIFE, which is in the blood, (see Leviticus 17:11, and verse 14).

this is proved out in the book of revelation, Revelation 1:1 "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John”. question, “who sent his angel to John to give the revelations to the churches?”. answer, Revelation 22:16, and to prove that he, (Jesus), is God, see Revelation 22:6 which bear out “who” our Lord really is. according to 22:6 he’s the Lord God of the holy prophets, and there is ONLY ONE GOD. this clearly identifies our Lord Jesus as the almighty God.

Rev 22:6 is Jesus father who is the only being called God in Revelation and the ONE who gave it too Jesus.

You don't understand.. Elohim = 3

Father - Son (Voice or Word of God) - Holy Spirit (Invisible spirit of God). These three are (ONE) God.

The Holy Spirit will never speak of Himself - He only speaks that which He has heard from the Father.

The Son (who created everything) John 1:3) ALWAYS gives glory to the Father. He always puts Father 1st.

There is only one time - Jesus didn't use the name Father - When He said My God My God why has't thou forsaken Me? It was the only time since "from everlasting" The Son was cut off.

I hope that clears some confusion up about the God-head

RESPONSE:

Actually, God would not be talking to himself. Jesus praying evidences that he did not consider himself divine.

"Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good--except God alone.

"You heard me say, 'I am going away and I am coming back to you.' If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

Jesus is the "FATHER", in Flesh and bones, as the diversity, or "OFFSPRING". which he is by birthright. and he’s Father as the source of everything. scripture, Revelation 22:16 “I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star”. he’s Father without flesh and bones, and Son, (as the diversity), who is G243 ἄλλος allos (al'-los), with God. (see vines on another, or “Allos”). there is only ONE GOD

For unto us: A child is born (Bethlehem) - A son is given (Golgotha) & his name shall be called: wonderful, counselor The Everlasting Father; The Mighty God, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Jesus Is God - There is only ONE.

Hebrews 1:8 God speaking to the Son - Thy throne OH God is forever
