Okay this is just for fun,
If you could have dinner with 4 people from the Bible (we will go ahead and say Jesus is there, so 4 more people) who would it be and why?????
Jezibel--always wanted to know if she looked like the women my grandmother called "a real jezibel"
David-he was a guy "after Gods" own heart
Noah-I wanna know the secret to putting up with family and all those animals for so long
Bathsheba-just curios to how pretty she was to make David go GOO GOO for her..course hes already gonna be there..
there are lots of others, and if I really thought about it..my list would change
Adam & Eve cauz I got lotsa questions. Satan or the snake in paradise, for the same reasons as Adam & Eve. God cauz I want to know why he created anything if he was already perfect.
Unless it is because He missed something?
Then again, if God did miss something He couldn't be perfect.
Since I am going to be serving them, I will add one more to the list. So here goes; Adam, to ask him what it was like in the beginning; Abraham, well, just because of who he is; Moses, to find out what it was like on the mountain with the Lord; and David, to talk to him about his trials he faced; and finally Peter, and this would be to find out what it was like to be a disciple of Jesus. It would certainly make for an interesting conversation. Could we serve them ham?
I'm having a hard time coming up with only 4. I'm getting ready to run out the door right now, so I don't really have time to give a lot of details as to the "why", but here's the list...I will try to narrow it down later :
Moses
Solomon
Paul
Silas
Elijah
David
Judas (Yeah, I know, strange choice, but I believe he fulfilled prophecy and that shouldn't be held against him. )
Peter - to ask how it was to walk on water and follow Jesus
Noah - to get answers about how he built the ark and dealt with the animals
Joseph - to ask how Jesus was like as a child and how he dealt with being the earthly father of God
John - (the baptist) because he seems like a really great guy who would be very enlightening .
... but could Lazarus stop by for dessert ? I'd like to know what it was like to die for three days and then be brought back to life from the human perspective. Just curious, ya know...
Poncius Pilate, Mary Magdelene, Joseph , Satan, Salome and Solomon could make for an interesting evening. I know that's six, but heck if I am going to bother cooking , might as well feed more...
Abraham because he had such great faith
Mary because I would like to more about Jesus as a child
Moses because the Bible calls him a friend of God
Job because through all his trials and tribulations he was always faithful to God.
And since Jesus is there, so is God.
