the same way for the woman to be the wife of one husband, if a woman is in that position.
Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea. and that word “servant translate “deacon”. 1 Timothy 3:12 "Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well”. tell me, must a deacon have to be married?. or a bishop?. well.
the apostle is speaking to only the married here.
I'm sorry, but the text doesn't say that. It says the elder is to be the husband of one wife. Translated directly, it says a "one woman man". That means he is to be a "man".
I'm sorry, but you don't have that authority to decide what God says regarding pastors. How men view women is irrelevant when we discuss what God requires of a man to be a pastor/elder.
What God required was written down by men that lived 2,000 years ago. Despite the inspiration from God the writings of these men are colored by their cultural heritage and their views on women. One needs to read the bible in context with the times. That is why I say the Episcopal Church is much more advanced than others.
There are several issues at play in the "can women be pastors" debate. Complementarianism is one. Eisegesis vs. Exegesis of Scripture is another. While I very much have my thoughts on this issue, it is such a hot button topic, I find it best to defer it to the churches and let God sort it out in the end.
what if the bible say so?, would you believe then?.
The Bible has errors even if the men that wrote down the verses were inspired by God. It is important to read in context. The erroneous views of those men do not apply today. Lastly, I don't think God would discriminate against women.
Romans 16:2 "That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also”. see that word “succourer”. it’s the Greek word, G4368 προστάτις prostatis (pros-tat'-is) n.
1. a patroness, i.e. assistant.... feminine of a derivative of G4291
KJV: succourer
Root(s): G4291
G4368 προστάτις prostatis (pros-tat'-is) is the feminine of a derivative of G4291, the female counter part. and what is G4291?. lets see, G4291 προΐστημι proistemi (pro-is"'-tay-mee) v.
1. to stand before
2. [in rank]to preside
3. {by implication} to practise
[from G4253 and G2476]
KJV: maintain, be over, rule
Root(s): G4253, G2476
that’s the authority. our sister Phebe is the FEMALE COUNTER PART OF THE MALE IN THAT POSITION.
i suggest you look you these words, 1. preside, 2. practise. 3. and find out what stand before means.
if one would notice, the KJV can translate “be rule”. “rule”. 1 Timothy 3:2 "A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;1 Timothy 3:5 "(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
well, well, well, that word “rule” is in what a bishop is, or do.
Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea. and that word “servant translate “deacon”. 1 Timothy 3:12 "Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well”. tell me, must a deacon have to be married?. or a bishop?. well.

To answer the op's question, I don't believe women are instructed to be pastors of any church body, however as elders and deaconess' I've read of no issues.

that's the error of not understand context. not all elders are married. if that was the qualification, then the apostle himself would be disqualified. as well as many others.
Only spiritual dinosaurs (and frightened men) would object to female Pastors.
