I would say it's correct, Jesus' way or the highway since truth never changes.
That all depends on what it means to follow him?

Please enlighten and humor me as to the proper definition of "following Jesus".

HERE IS THE PROOF: Jesus said: If YOU abide in ME & My Words abide in YOU. You can ask me anything & I will do it.

It works for me; It works for all my family members; It works for MILLIONS of people all over the world.

Yet some claim - He never existed.

The beauty of following him, exists in a single language that is not isolated called love.

Now, tell me - did the light come on?
Or should we remain in darkness?

"The darkness will flee, once you turn on the light of Christ."

But the issue isn't Jesus' way, the issue is it has to be poster X's or poster Y's way or the highway.

When it comes to following the teachings of Jesus, I do my best. But I look at the passages and what they mean in light of the context/time when they were written. I also look at the overall meaning of the parables and teachings and how they can be interpreted, versus the absolute way I am told to believe... Way too many authors have translated way too many times for me to believe the Bible is the perfect word.

You either believe the Holy Spirit was helping those authors to write the truth our you don't. If you don't then there is no reason to follow the bible, if you do then it is the truth for you. Remember the story was written down by many men who did not know each other or live near each other but it all stays the same. Hundred of years apart. No one can say that about any other book. It has the hand of God in all of it.

Congratulations you just proved my point.

Saying the Spirit helped the authors write the bible is vastly different than saying the bible is inerrant. Also the books of the new testament were not written 100's years apart; they were all written within a 50 - 75 year time frame.

Reverend, in regards to inerrancy, have you read any of John Frame's writings on the subject? I'm not going to cut and paste paragraphs, they are all over the internet, such as here, here, and here. John Frame is clear that he is not a fundamentalist, for those who care.
