How hard is it for you to see that the Spirit teaches that any form of slavery is not spirit and life, while the bible does not?. Your question is being answered with bells on it, and like i have already told you, you will never see it because you adamantly believe that the Spirit cannot teach anything that is not in the bible.

The Spirit does not throw stones, condemning people to death.

It is not hard to see. As a matter of fact I must have repeated about ten times now that slavery violates "love your neighbor" command. How hard is it for you to read what other people post?

Stop playing games, Finn. This is NOT about verses! There is no verse that says slavery is bad . . . but you inferred that because it violates the "love your neighbor" command. However you do not explain how you can defend the Bible condoning slavery . . . which is a similar inference from the content of the Bible. Stop dodging with the no contradictory verses ploy. How DO you reconcile the two opposing views about truth in the Bible if it is as you think the word of God.

You are right that slavery violates love your neighbor, but the love your neighbor commandment is so much more too, it is love your neighbor as yourself, something Jesus added by the spirit of life which cannot be found written in the old testament scriptures

Yet the bible is silent on rejecting it in any form , while the spirit of life does. The spirit of life never contradicts itself nor is it ever vague about where it stands in life issues.

I am not discussing contradictions . . . that would be off topic here, Finn . . . but I am questioning YOUR position that the Bible is the word of God. You refuse to defend your position against the evidence you yourself elicited in the many posts on the issue summarized in my post. The two views above cannot be reconciled as BOTH true . . . so HOW do you defend the bible as the word of God if it contains untruth?

That is not some secret only you know, because the Bible actually spells it out. Thanks to the Bible EVERYONE has access to this "secret". Are you happy about it, or does it tick you off that others also have access to it? You seem to share the Pharisee attitude about being in possession of something special, because it makes you feel special.

Sure seems that you are saying there is a contradiction. Open a thread about it.

What part do you not get that there is a conflict to what the bible and the spirit of life have to say about slavery ?.

Jesus brought it to light BY THE SPIRIT before the new testament was written and after the old testament was written. This is where you seem to be having a mental blockage.

You are obviously more concerned about papering over where you are being proven wrong than acknowledging the obvious. Like all good politicians and in your case politically minded folk do.
