Was he 'saved'? Swept to sea during baptism (ritual, Jesus, salvation)

Well, first of all, the article says that the man who was swept out to sea was helping to perform the baptism. He was not the one being baptized.
And second, water baptism is not a requirement for eternal life. Water baptism is a ritual which is observed by one who has already been eternally saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus.
Perhaps the proverb which says if you have nothing good to say, keep your mouth shut applies here and in everyday life.
