Pastor Hagee of TX Megachurch Sees Doom And Gloom In Lunar Eclipse

He cites this passage from Acts Chapter 2: “And I will show wonders in Heaven above and signs in the Earth beneath, the sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.”

BTW, hasn't this happened before? If it did, it obviously didn't cause the world to end.
I'm surprised that these End Times folks haven't used our recent discoveries of other planets far far away as support for their arguments. One would think these things far greater in the way of signs than those run o' the mill lunar and solar eclipses and them volcanos and earthquakes.

The Pentecostals seem to be the only one's (and not all of them) that are bothering with this money making venture.

God has historically used signs in the sky to herald major events. The four blood moons could mean something. I guess we will find out within a year or so - if nothing major happens with Israel by the second blood moon that occurs on a Jewish holiday, then it probably meant nothing.

Can the preterists confirm if there was "peace, peace" before the sudden destruction in AD70? I thought the Romans had laid siege on Jerusalem, that's not exactly peace.

I'm caught between a rock and a hard place with futurism and preterism. They both have so much going for them; God bless.

A couple of things we know for certain about the timing of the End Times:
1). The "season" will be accompanied by rapidly accelerating 'signs', including signs in the sky.
2). The world has never been closer to the End Times than at this very moment!
3). The End Times will come to us; or we will each experience our own personal End Times

IMO, so many seem focused on the "when" of the End Times, that many overlook the real emphasis of End Time prophecy: Making sure that we LIVE ready to meet the Lord at any time!

I agree. When people set a date based on some recent occurence (almost alway something that is US-centric, as though God's timetable was based on the United States), I always ask, "So how has knowing that changed your daily to-do list?"

Actually, our daily to-do list should not change it at all. The parable of the wise steward (Luke 12) tells us pretty clearly that whenever the Lord returns, He should catch us doing what He left us to do.

Observing the "signs" is like a farmer at harvest time noting the signs of the shortening summer and the oncoming fall and winter. He has a job: To get in the harvest. He works that job as hard as he can every day. Yes, he notes that the sun came up a minute later today than it did yesterday and that means his time is getting shorter, but that's not what he dwells upon--he dwells upon getting in the harvest as soon as he can.
