I'm given life then God dictates how i'm supposed to live it?If he just wanted a bunch of worshiping robots why didnt he just make us perfect for the job in the first place?

No, you have free will. Choose whom you will serve.

God gave you life and offers you eternity with Him. Reject him, and you will be miserable.

The choice is yours and always has been.

I got a problem with this supposed freewill stuff, on the one hand you have to worship this deity your whole life or burn in hell for eternity, somehow that doesnt strike me as much of a choice.
As for living for an eternity? Sounds to me like sooner or later living an eternity in any realm will ultimately be a miserable experience.

I think you are overlooking one factor: Love.

God loves you, and He desires to be loved by you in return.

As for eternity, God is infinite, so learning about him will not get boring.

Watching Seinfeld re-runs forever would get boring, but eternity with God? Not boring.

The hell that we moderns envision (gehenna in scripture) is a place of suffering characterized by:

1. the eternal separation from the beatific vision of God (this is the most painful)
2. the ceaseless regret for loss and past sins
3. the horror of looking upon Satan himself
4. the experience of burning fire.

And what is the point of that? If they regret being there, surely that regret would lead to repentance.
Is it their free will that they want to stay there, even though it is obviously horrible (no one would want to stay there).
Does God care about them? Why does God not bring them to repentance? Or He does not want to violate their free will? (even though no one would choose to be tormented forever from their own free will).

Does this forever torture chamber bring glory to God?

It would have if they had considered that fate before death. Most folks are ignoring God and then, like children who get called on at school when they have not done their homework, claim that the teacher was unfair.

Yes, they want to stay there because although they are suffering terribly, being in the presence of an all holy God when you are not also holy is worse.

Correct. Free will will not be violated.

I would be inclined to say no IF God is not viewed as just for giving them the reward that they chose for themselves.

This is a perfect example why the traditional view of hell needs to be reunderstood in this day and age. More and more people are realizing just how morally insane this is and turning away from God.

Boys and girls: Can you see anything wrong with the bolded bits?

Would your parents show how much they love you by sending you to hell for not loving them as much as they felt was their due?

No, they wouldn't.

Would a narcissistic, megalomaniacal, genocidal, sadistic god?

Apparently he would. No doubt with crocodile tears welling in his pseudo-sorrowful eyes.

Such a being is worthy only of disdain.
