Fire away
It depends on what you mean by the word "eternal" and the word "hell". Until you clarify that it will be hard to answer your question.

The term "eternal hell" does not occur in the bible. End of thread!

There is NO punishment . . . only self-imposed consequences of self-loathing, remorse and regret (weeping and gnashing of teeth) for every unrepented instance of non-agape love.

I am using the world eternal for the sole reason it is the word virtually all bible believers use and understand when you are talking to them. I am glad to hear that you say what you are saying, you are obviously learning something.

I came here with that knowledge. I have learned nothing from you as of yet. You don't answer many questions.

Tell me what you mean by those words. I cannot assume what someone else means by them and apply it to your usage. Just answer the question.

If it is not imposed by God, then it must be voluntary. What if one chooses to not punish him/herself? What happens then?

Do you understand if you stick your hand on an hot stove that serves as a good thing that you will get burnt. Is it the hot stove paying you back or is it ignorance and misuse of the purpose of the hot stove?. God is not going around punishing sin and sinners, we are reaping from the flesh what we are sowing.

Those verses made no mention of hell.

  • the ages of the ages
  • Unto the ages of eternity!
doesn't end but it's not eternal.

You misunderstood the question. We have been told God will not make you stick your hand on the stove, so sticking your hand on the stove is voluntary. What happens if you decide to not stick your hand on the stove?

PS. I think Mystic is talking about afterlife. Are you talking about afterlife?

Biblically it isn't eternal as it gives up its dead and is itself tossed into the lake of Fire. Gone for good.
