15 Elihud the father of Eleazar,
Eleazar the father of Matthan,
Matthan the father of Jacob,
16 and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah.

Now the one thing that verse 16 does not say is that Joseph is the father of Jesus. Read it and see.

Got anything else?
16. and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah.

If Mary is the mother of Jesus, and Joseph is Mary's husband, then it's clear who Yeshua's father was.

and if you had posted more of Matthew I could continue with this lesson and prove it further.

Because the Angel that came to Miriam(Mary's hebrew name) told her that she would bring forth the Messiah and she felt like she couldn't do it because she wasn't married yet and considered a virgin. that's what they called un-married women back then, virgins... had nothing to do with no-sex. but her and Joseph had already had sexual intercourse prior to their marriage and that's when Yeshua was conceived.

So at the very least Yeshua can be considered a baby out of wedlock, but born of a virgin without intercourse? that's a heap of hooey. false doctrine twisting scriptures.

neither did he pop in. Matthew 1:16 "And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ". if one would look at this genealogy, someone "begot", someone, but when it comes to Jesus, he is "BORN", and not begotten.

Listen, your opinions mean nothing, Post the exact scripture where you got this^^ from, because you obviously ignore the EXACT scripture that's written in the Holy Bible.

Until you post that scripture to prove your "stepdaddy/step mama" logic, I'm done with this thread.

Default The true gospel of Christ

The true Good News of Christ has nothing to do with these carnal issues of flesh . . . nothing! It is a message of reconciliation by correcting the wrong beliefs about the fearsome and vengeful War God of our ancestors caused by the veil of ignorance (=blind minds) when reading the OT. The Good News is that God IS agape love. He loves us all and He is not counting our sins (errors, missing the mark) against us. We are under a New Covenant wherein God has "written in our hearts" and Christ abides with us within our consciousness to guide us to the truth in agape love . . . so we do not need anyone to teach us.
