Jesus spoke of God's impending wrath upon His enemies. Do you reject His message?
Wrath is simply negative consequences . . . that's IT . . . reaping what you sow. God is not angry with us and is not holding our sins (ignorance, missing the mark) against us either. We have Jesus to cover our imperfections to minimize any reaping . . . IF we "love God and each other" daily and repent when we don't. Either way any imperfections will be refined out as dross in the consuming fire of God's pure love after our death . . . but we are still "saved as by fire."

There is only one enemy of God, and that enemy is your # 1 enemy too............... Your carnal nature.
You see i thought like a bible inerrantist too (accumulated a bunch of beliefs and would not be open to reason)in the past, but what i discovered was that we make and attract our own enemies, and when we have, we highly esteem ourselves over them rather than the other way around, so not only do we judge them unrighteously we stop the flow of love, grace and mercy freely shown to us to them, we reap the consequences of judging unrighteously too.
This thought is foolishness to the carnally minded man and so he continues in his false beliefs and mis conceptions about God. He cannot accept that if God says love your enemies that God does too, if God says do good to those who spitefully use you that is the way of God too, that if you bless them that curse you, so too does God. Jesus Christ is the Higher Way of God and i challenge you to prove by scripture othewise, this same Jesus Christ said learn the Way of him.
My hope is to never pervert the message, the good news, that God is love and is not holding our sin against us.
We all know that <snipping wall of random bits of bible> is the only way one can justify using half truths while justifying their rejection of all the truth
"it's not "Scripture" that people find offensive ... they simply realize that your interpretation of it,"

That's all ... just "snipping" whatever random bits of bible and it fills the desire to "remake" God in your own image.

<more snipping>
I do not believe that "God is love" is a half truth. It's the foundational truth, the rock that all else is built on.

Amen! God IS love. That "is" seems to be as troublesome for some to understand as Clinton tried to make it. It means that IS God. God is Spirit . . . so the Holy Spirit that IS God is agape love.

There is only ONE God and ONE Spirit that IS God . . . agape love. There is no other image to make God into, Twin. When you reject that image . . . you reject God, IMO. Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

This really IS our basic difference: We trust the Spirit Jesus promised above the Book He did not promise.

It is not going to be a lovey dovey experience for those goat nations. They will go through an eon/age during chastening of fiery experiences.

Eubi, et tu with the "lovey dovey" stuff? Don't you believe that God's judgments are for the purpose of teaching righteousness (a loving purpose), rather than being punitive and vengeful in nature?
Some are retributive to teach the nations it's not right to mess over Christ's brethren.
At the end of the 1000 year reign, the nations will come against the holy citadel to battle Christ. What is the Lord going to do to them? He will destroy them all. It's hard to learn a good lesson WHEN you are killed. They will learn their lesson after they are resurrected to stand before the Great White Throne.
