So what your saying is that God's persuasion is irrelevant - at the end of
the day, God needs our PERMISSION to save us. I know your not saying that - BUT
you ARE saying that.
God does not need our permission to do anything. During this time in His plan for the ages, He gives us choices but He is ultimately working all things according to the counsel of His own will. (Eph 1)Eventually, all will be in line with His will. Believers yield to His will now but eventually all will yield because we were all made for Him and He is able to subject all to Himself. Many people don't like the idea of God subjecting all to Himself, but this is why we were created. We did not create ourselves but we are His offspring and His intention is to become all in all. He is fully able to persuade if He is able to subject all things to Himself and if all will confess Him. God bless and peace.

It is simply astounding how christians glory in themselves instead of the Lord. Abraham would never have known God unless he made himself known to him. Can you at least accept that and give God just a little credit?.
For of him and through are all things.

You might not realize before you believed that God was doing something within you without your knowledge, but if you are a mature grounded believer you cannot help but look back and see that the hand of God was upon you. He is not called the Good Shepherd for nothing.

Can i get an Amen!!!!

being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

We are so shallow in our thinking,so much so that we have forgotten what we have been listening to in secret, and when we come to faith we claim in pride we chose it, when in truth we were persuaded and convinced by God talking to us in the secret place.

I chose and found Jesus is the cry of the immature

I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them. Hosea 11:4
Yes, great post pcamps. I'm glad when people can see that.

I compare it to a man swept out into stormy seas. When he gets a life ring he doesn't brag about his ability to hang onto it.
