Although I do not believe in a 10 second prayer.

It's funny how we can say the bible is inspired, but have a minister inspire us to have faith in God to meet us in this life of trouble and inspiration Is now considered acceptable

the flesh is synonymous with self.

Faith and faithfulness pleases God. In pleasing God through faithful obedience and trust we will reap the blessings, but the motive should not be for self but for love for God and others.

If you cannot or do not love yourself you are deceiving yourself if you think you can love others. All you can give them is yourself, the self that is touched by God.
