It was a terrible event. Forgiveness is not possible in a situation like that, except for the individuals involved and they were mainly dead.

As to retaliation, where was the justice?

Think about it for a minute. How many innocents have been killed by the US in their pursuit of the guilty from 911?

I didn't say we did everything right. This is an enemy that is unspecific, and difficult to pinpoint. But we could NOT just sit still after 9/11.

Let us not forget that if there's a god, he/she let it happened.

So either believe in an almighty and JUST god, in that case, those people deserved it. Or god is something made up when people just started civilization and made up god to explain things they can't explain. Just like the Greek, the Roman, the Chinese and all other PAGANS.

BTW, don't blame me for speaking the truth. If you want to bring religion into something, be prepare to accept the consequence.

So, which is it? Give us the "truth".

Bush used the fear and anger of Americans as his opportunity to invade a nation that had nothing to do with the attack on the World Trade Center. However, nothing can ultimately thwart God's will in the end. But a lot of people suffer for no particular fault of their own. We are subjected to the selfish and evil whims of mankind on a seemingly random basis. Bad things happen to "good" people. Yet no one is "all good" or "all bad". I don't believe the suffering visited upon Adam's race is evenly distributed. I know we humans have a hard time grappling with that. We seem to be rushing toward a possible Armageddon with this latest turn of events. So be it. I'm not in control. I will put my trust in God, not in circumstances. Others will deny there is a god - that's their way of dealing with pain. I do not condemn them for it and I don't believe God does either.

If you're talking about Iraq, I agree (as I already stated). However, Bush was right to go after those who perpetrated 9/11.

Bush never did go after those who perpetrated 9/11. Bush/Cheney and Halliburton went after oil in Iraq. It didn't work out as they thought it would though. Most of the people responsible for the 9/11 attack were from Saudi Arabia and got flown out of the U.S. on a day when no one else in the entire country was allowed in the air space and NORAD just wasn't working during the attack. Strange - isn't it? Bush was in Florida reading 'My Pet Goat' to a classroom of small children when he was told of the attack which he had been warned was coming the August before. These are commonly known facts at this point.

As most of you know, I am a survivor from the WTC. My Muslim, Hindu, Jewish, Christian, atheist, whatever coworkers ran out of that building alongside me and then returned to rebuild.

I will forever shout the lesson from that day--stop this "us against them", beginning with you. Take people as individuals and respect one another, even when you don't understand the other fully. Look for our commonalities, not just our differences. Do not let fear rule you.

Peace be with you.
I think Dennis is speaking of those types of personalities that would do such a thing to their own fellow man just because of differences...

A pagan was simply a person from the country...

It wasn't the oil in Iraq, it was Kuwait...I was in the Navy during Desert Storm...
