I hope the mods will keep this up since it is important for us to know and to pray for these poor people.

Fr. Paul Nicholson

Let us keep praying for peace, and the complete overthrow of ISIS.
The following was sent by Father John Pitzer, formerly at Holy Ghost Church
& now New Orleans.

Please offer your prayers & share with as many people as possible:
"Just a few minutes ago I received the following text message on my phone from Sean Malone who leads Crisis Relief International (CRI). We then spoke briefly on the phone & I assured him that we would share this urgent prayer need with all of our contacts.

"He said, 'We lost the city of Queragosh (Qaraqosh). It fell to ISIS & they are beheading children systematically. This is the city we have been smuggling food to. ISIS has pushed back Peshmerga (Kurdish forces) & is within 10 minutes of where our CRI team is working. Thousands more fled into the city of Erbil last night. The UN evacuated it's staff in Erbil. Our team is unmoved & will stay. Prayer cover needed!' "Please pray sincerely for the deliverance of the people of Northern Iraq from the terrible advancement of ISIS & its extreme Islamic goals for mass conversion or death for Christians across this region.

"May I plead with you not to ignore this email. Do not forward it before you have prayed through it. Then send it to as many people as possible.

"Send it to friends and Christians you may know. Send it to your prayer group. Send it to your pastor & phone him/her to pray on Sunday during the service - making a special time of prayer for this. We need to stand in the gap for our fellow Christians."

Father John Pitzer. Thanks for Praying!

Thanks,
Fr. Kevin

As I understand it, the mods are concerned with proper credit to the source.

When the original UseNet was established, the mission was to share news sources from different areas of the country to the on line community. The original UseNet has been essentially replaced by all these private blogs, and with all due respect to the blogosphere, a lot of the proprietors of blogsites have no understanding of the history of the old NewsGroup system.

As you can see by how I reformatted your original post, I try to distinguish my own comment from the content which I quote from elsewhere.

Of course you should respect sources who request that you not repost the entirety of their content. Some magazines and newspapers and other blogsites make such requests. Some restrict access to their original content. The WSJ is one of those sites that allows one to see only a few sentences of their content, and require that you purchase a subscription before given access.

Copyright law, last I checked, states that one can quote "limited" content for purposes of review.

I'm gonna take a wild guess that the author of the content you quote would be overjoyed that you are spreading the word.

Well Father Paul has a lot of articles on his facebook page and many don't even have facebook. I didn't know any other way to share this.
