I can't count how many times I've heard people say, "I'm a recovering Catholic". There are a lot of ex Catholics in the world, so it's not a surprise. I'm a recovering Baptist/Assembly of God/non-denominational/etc. People do need to recover from what churches do to them. I would like to add that the current Pope is the best I've seen in my lifetime. I find that I often agree with what he is saying.

From what I can see from researching this is that all four hosts were raised Roman Catholic, so I'd say that gives them the right to state anything they want, they earned that right...

There is no one more anti-Catholic than an ex Catholic.

And everyone takes shots at the Catholic church because it is the BIGGEST and most important with a Pope and everything else. They will not waste any time taking shots at a tiny independent bible church.

And all these lesbian women could walk into any Catholic Church and take communion. No one would stop them.

But if the Priest knew that they were engaged in extra marital sex as defined by the Catholic Church and did not confess that particular sin isn't he supposed to stop her for her own spiritual protection as they define it?

No one wants a scandal or a scene. Unless you have an anal fanatic priest handing communion.

I can tell you that many gays and lesbians go to Catholic Churches all the time and they take communion.

So insuring that no scene disturbs others trumps their responsibility to the person who lives an unholy life and steps forward? That might work for an open communion but in this case someone who can not step forward unless he says that a specific bishop has authority but can step forward while in an openly sinful state?

The priest has no way of knowing if a person coming up for communion is gay or lesbian.

In saying that the gay and lesbian can step forward I assumed we were talking about the out of the closet

There are lots of gay and lesbian parishioners in Catholic Churches. Quite often other people know, but they don't make an issue of it.

However the doctrine is that the leadership is suppose to, it is their responsibility, or is the church doctrine wrong?
