Would you say that my mother, who died of breast cancer, was definitely not a Christian? Or is it possible that she could have been a true and faithful Christian?
That was a supposition on my part, based on the fact I've never known anyone who shared your beliefs. I have, however, known a lot of Christians who have died from cancer.
If you didn't devise this.... theory, who did?
Follow along and read the scriptures I posted. If you believe you know Christians that died of Cancer, then tell me why it is that you believe God didn't protect them from dieing from Cancer.
Getting cancer, dying from cancer, or any other disease has absolutely nothing to do with being a christian, believing in god, the bible or whatever religious nonsense you're getting at.

ME: BTW are you saying that because someone dies they are a sinner? A bad person? Is someone who lives to be 100 years old a better person, a less sinful person, than someone who lives only to 80?

Nice dodge, but Ill play.
Does the bible say that someone who lives to be 100 is less sinful than someone who lives to be 80?
Besides, Mary was assumed into heaven because she had no sin, if I recall correctly. Seems to me that were a lot of Protestants who denied this, and believed that Mary died like anyone else.
What this whole thread comes down to is that if one lives without sin, one may live forever here on earth. Isnt this contrary to the teaching of Jesus that there is an afterlife where the righteous will dwell AFTER death? While the perfect people live forever on a corrupt and sinful earth?
I see I am leading my own self down the theological primrose path. No wonder there are 50,000 kinds of Christians!

Ummm.... I haven't made a single post about God and His protection. You're pulling stuff out of thin air.
People get cancer because the human body is a complex organism and all sorts of things can go wrong. Cancer, the flu, broken legs, bad hair days. I have a list of things I'd like to ask God. Questions about cancer are near the top.

So, OP, is there some list of ways "real Christians" will die?
My father is right now on his deathbed due to cancer. And that cancer was caused by Agent Orange that he was exposed to fighting for his country. And he has been a fundamentalist Christian his entire life, never smoked or drank. You think he's being punished for not being a "real Christian"
A follower of Christ. Not someone that thinks they are following Christ.
