Has this become the 'Christian forum' in name only? (praying, salvation, bless)

I have an alternative solution. If you get a nasty or derogatory comment about your intelligence, report them. Let's see if the mods will do anything. Bashing is not allowed on this forum, supposedly But I agree. Honest thoughtful discussion on this forum is impossible. Its supposed to be a "Christian" and there are a bunch of people here that come here but for no other purpose than to condemn Christianity and Christians.
Not exactly. This is a forum about "Christianity," not necessarily just a forum for "Christians." Obviously, anybody can have something to say about "Christianity."
There is not much that jeffbase40 and I would agree upon. But medical miracles from God, I do believe, having experienced one myself. I was a child asthmatic, and prayer for me by my grandparents church when I was about seven completely cured me. I've never had an attack since.
But here is a more modern miracle--and one I'm sure you will question--but the doctor doesn't--and photos show all.
Will non-believers find that video as some kind of evidence that miracles by god can happen because doctors can't explain the sudden healing?
Not for a moment.
Even from nothing more than a layman familiar with RSD, explanation isn't difficult in this case.
The causes of RSD are not known and are mostly diagnosed by inference and process of elimination. of other disorders.
It can be theorized that since onset can follow a trauma and the disorder is neurological that her fall may have corrected whatever the insult to the nerve(s) might have been.
Medical ignorance in 2014 (or whenever that case happened) should not be used as proof of god-healing.
Oh....the vision? If some neurological shock was occurring, the idea of any kind of temporary brain disfunction is not surprising.
Let me repeat.........
Medical ignorance in 2014 (or whenever that case happened) should not be used as proof of god-healing
Certainly your view is one way to approach it. As I've mentioned before, in Isaiah the sixth chapter Isaiah sees God and seraphims flying about--and God speaks to him. Many decades later, Antiochus of Epiphanes rides his horse into the Temple after conquering the Jews. He looks about and cries, "I see no God."
The difference is in eyes of faith. Those with faith will see the hand of God at work. Those without faith will see nothing. There is no right or wrong in either view--it's just that the way it is.

However, there is more hope for other sufferers of RSD in a medical explanation since so few seem to get healed by your god

I agree, but what you're effectively asserting is that those who have been infected (for lack of a better word), with the presupposition of the works of God and/or who are searching for some amount of confirmation bias will see this as God's work, regardless of the lack of evidence, and those who aren't will not Why would anyone want to believe or come to conclusions in this way?
I just hope there won't be a spate of tossing those poor folks out of their wheelchairs.
"Can you get up? No? Okay, I'll put you back in the chair and we'll try hurling you in a different direction."
At least they have hope. With atheism, no hope. Life becomes nothing more than a random drawing of the cards where you can be screwed for life at any moment. Enjoy the brief happiness while it lasts.
