What matters to God is that we know that Jesus Christ is in us. 2 Corinthians 13:5. That is the confirmation we should be looking for and until we know this we have failed the test no matter how much scripture you can quote.

There is no looking "for" if the test of faith is that Jesus Christ dwells in us by faith.

I hope you are not referring to a sign when looking for something that requires faith.

Not every believer has this knowledge that Jesus Christ is in us, but that does not mean that when teaching them this truth, He was not in them until they did.

Jesus Christ is in all of us, until we know the reality of acoording to Paul we have failed the test. What test ?,whether we are in the faith. For It is by Christ in us that we live by faith.
