Do not dabble in divinations!

Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead.

Deuteronomy 18:10

Hmmm, interesting. I haven't heard teachings on that in a while. Good one.

Wait, I thought that's what was preached. I was on the wrong thread . Is that what you dreamed?

I see that with my eyes wide open, no need to dream.

The advocate will speak what he hears and declare the things to come. He will take from the son of man and declare it, thereby glorifying the son and giving praise to his heavenly Father.

It is written in the prophets;

"I will raise up a righteous shoot to David. As king he will govern and reign wisely. He will do what is right and just in the land. In his day Judah shall be saved, Israel shall dwell in peace. The name they shall give him is the Lord our righteousness."

I believe we are seeing the rise and acceptance of great apostasy; part of the 'great falling away' spoken of in 2 Thes. 2:1-3. We are clearly living in a time when many people will no longer endure sound doctrine (2 Tim 4:3). They listen to whatever teacher or proponent of what they (or a secular world) believes and wants to hear.

On one hand, one might believe this is an altogether bad thing. But, IMO, like any form of persecution, it strengthens Christians to more clearly and deeply consider what they believe and why. A major step in this direction is those who would abandon scripture in favor of human opinion, rationale and liberal atheism. Major examples of the strengthening of Christians in an anti-Christian environment can be found in China, No. Korea and even the MidEast Islam communities.

One current example that may be responsible for the omission of America (or related symbology) from scripture, is the liberal abandonment of Israel in the public forum. This will likely ultimately lead to the Ezekial 38-39 prophecies, where EVERYONE will ultimately stand against Israel.

God has not forgotten His promise: I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Gen 12:3 NKJV) -- America has wisely stood with Israel since 1948 when the nation was re-established ... and has been blessed because of it. Sadly for America, that seems to be changing rapidly.

Actually, there is an awakening from the apostasy.
A quickening of the Spirit, that dwells within.

Don't plan any toga parties.

Amen!. They are thinking the apostasy is supposed to happen in some future time. But these are definitely the "latter days" (almost 2000+ years later). The majority are already apostate and have been for a long time following an anti-Christ message of appeasement of a vengeful God through sacrifice. Christ came to tell us the Good News that we are already reconciled to God because of Him. Not the bad news that we are filthy rags who need to be saved from an eternal Hell. He promised to come back to us as the Comforter (in His name) to guide us to the truth God has now "written in our hearts." He succeeded. It is Finished. We only need to follow His instructions to His disciples to Love God and each other every day and repent when we don't.

Amazing that "Not attacking Iran" preemptively is construed by the fundamentalists as turning our backs on Israel.
