If you and your fellow church members believe gays are fornicating sinners going to hell it is not wrong for you to decline. In fact, it is doing the happy couple a huge favor. ANY couple, be they gay or straight, getting married in a church should be surrounded by love and support. Which means they should be far, far away from a church full of people throwing stones.
WWJD? Tell you to drop the stones from your hand.
I agree with this 100%. We all need to compromise right now. Tolerance works both ways. Gays want to be accepted across the board by everyone right now but that is too much to expect.
If you want a nice wedding there are churches and all kinds of wedding services that will do that for you. Why start your wedding with fights?

Going into a bakery knowing that they do not want to bake a cake for you is starting a fight. Going into a bakery that you have no reason to suspect that they will not bake a cake for you and the law does not allow discrimination for this reason is not picking a fight it is just not putting up with discrimination. This case is the second type. I personally do not support the first type unless there are very limited alternatives. Going where you are not wanted when there are alternatives is starting a fight, going where your family members have been treated well and you expect to be treated well too and going there with that family member is not starting a fight.

I agree with this but this particular bakery had a lot of Christian sayings on their walls and anyone going in there should have known they were deeply Christian.

I was unaware of the bakery having the sayings on the walls. But if I went into a bakery with religious sayings on the wall I would only be guessing how they felt about SSM or if they would bake a cake as one can be very religious and still support it, but then the more fundamental religions are not noticeable here.

My mechanic has a scripture posted every day. Not once have they refused to change the tires of any car driving a gay couple to their venue for fear of participation in the wedding.
Come to think of it limo drivers don't either. Lots of businesses in this area post scripture, and manage not to discriminate.

It all depends on how close you are to the event. The cake is served at the wedding, it all depends on how many levels you are to participating.
