There's a lot of things the Bible doesn't mention at all... Child pornography, tax evasion, check fraud, cyber-bullying, etc. and yet we can know these actions are sinful because God gave us logical minds that are capable of taking a broad teaching and applying it to individual situations.
...and homosexuality isn't a big deal to Christians, as Christians we were not the ones who brought it to the forefront of society. It is society that has embraced the sinful lifestyle and sought to raise it to the same level as other moral relationships. The Christian viewpoint is simply reactionary.
The immorality of homosexual acts is simply something we know to be true, but it is no different than divorce, pornography, premarital and extra-marital sex or even just lying to someone.
Big difference---God didn't create child pornography, tax evasion, check fraud, or cyber bulling. He did create homosexuals, because only a fool would believe homosexuals "chose" a lifestyle that in many countries will get them killed or imprisoned (without any monetary benefit as theft would do).
But then where it comes to reading bible verses without the aid of the lens of Jesus Christ, fools abound unceasingly.

If humans were created by God, then God did create those things. He could have easily created humans without the desire to do those things. But he did not.

Yet he created them with the intelligence to know that what they sow they reap. In otherwords Your return in life depends on what you sow. Love your neighbor as yourself.

Conservative tea-partiers are now looking for doom to fall on the USA, like Yellowstone finally blowing it's top and fire and hail raining down from heaven or something. I can assure them that life will go on as usual except that gays will now be allowed to marry in all 50 states. Canada likely will follow suit very soon. A year from now gay marriage being the law of the land will not even raise eyebrows as people continue to busy themselves struggling to pay their bills.
I'm guessing this isn't normally an issue you care about either way. Just as a sidebar, in Canada, same sex couples were given common law benefits (and responsibilities) federally in the late 1990s. By 2003, most provinces and 1 territory had same sex marriages. Same sex marriages have been possible Canada wide for about a decade now. The last of the changes to divorce laws were made in 2012.
While we have fallen behind on the legalized marijuana front, we are still ahead on this issue.
I read the book and see how it ends.. times will get worse. The world will become more evil . If not for Christians praying we would all be blown to bits by now. If the Holy Spirit was removed , it would be hell on earth.
The wicked will find more evil things to do, God sees all. We will have a day of reckoning soon. We are in the last days. Signs of the last days are all around.. Good is bad and bad is good today.
God is not mocked God won't have to intervene. The wicked will destroy themselves.

The attraction for the same sex is a seducing evil spirit that enters the mind. If accepted and entertained and opened to it they will follow it.. if they reject it and see it for what it is , evil and wrong, they will cast it out in their mind.. the mind is the battle ground and self control will take hold and the spirit will flee.

My point was pretty clear: no gods were involved in the creation of humans. As someone who says they accept evolution, why do you suggest that gods were involved?
Evolution created things like homosexuality. Gods had nothing to do with it.
