Now what is the will of the Father? It's only a few verses down in John 6:
John 6:40 "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”"
Yes but believing in Him is doing the works He did. That is why He sent them as He was sent with the same words and glory.
"The man who believes in me shall do the works I do"
What are the works?
"The words I speak are not my own it is the Father who lives in me performing His works."
And he has taught us to LOVE GOD an LOVE our neighbor.
Jesus said He was sent to spread the good news of the kingdom of God and testify the truth. He never said He was sent to love His neighbor. He said the son only does what he sees the Father doing and that the words He spoke are the works of God and commanded by the Father.
Loving God and neighbor is spreading God's word. It is not being nice to people. Jesus wasn't nice to everyone. He was cruel at times to the scribes and a women who asked him for help. So it shows that loving to God is not an emotion of man.
"In everything do unto others as you would have done to you for this is the law and the prophets"
"Genuine worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth"
"Speak the truth to one another, judge righteously, and let honesty and peace be at your gates."
The one who believe in Lord Yeshua, will do as he has show us to do.
If you mean Jesus (as his name appears in the Bible), then yes--those that believe will do as he commands.
Quote:
If someone say that he believe in the Lord, but do not want to do as he has teach us to do, then do he really believe in his is word?
I believe that the one just call his name, "Lord, Lord" but he do not really know him, and he will receive the answer "I newer know you"
It is very important, that we do as he has teach us to do.
Were you going to actually address the post I made? That the will of the Father is to believe in the son? The food we eat is to believe in Jesus. We are not made righteous by DOING anything. We DO those things because we believe.

Funny...but your original post was about doing the will of the Father. I demonstrated from the very passage you quoted that to do the will of the Father is to believe in the one he sent -- Jesus.

How do you "do" words?
I would imagine in the same manner as this I guess.
A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.
But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment( no not some future vengeance of God) for every empty word they have spoken( if we are a white washed tomb, guess what kind of words we will be speaking)
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
So I would say, what we are bringing forth from that stored within reveals who we are.

And the Bible says that there is no such thing as a "good man". We are all sinners from birth. None of us are righteous.
