They are not. I have had the pleasure of breaking bread with Warden and have been invited to share an adult beverage with Troutdude. They are in very different geographical locations, separated by a couple thousand of kilometers.

Thank God!! I'd be appalled to be thought of as anything like you. I'd be decidedly uncomfortable to hate all of humanity as you do---you know, "all of us are sinful, rotten, godless, good for nothings that deserve death and eternal punishment."

Pathetic. But if that makes you feel good and superior--go for it.

I would cut a steak or blow the froth off a mug or two with them.
And with Mr. Jarber, if we didn't talk about politics or religion.

As a conservative christian my response would be two fold. First, it shouldn't be seen as a "worse" sin. We all sin, and everyone has committed sexual sin of some sort. God sees sin as sin- it's man that wants to catagorize sins- usually so he can be seen in a better light than "worse" sinners. Second, speaking for myself- I get irritated at those gays that try to shove their lifestyle down our throats. I don't try to do that with my heterosexual, conservative lifestyle. Also, the media loves to try to cram it down our throats as well.

So, you are the victim, and not the perpetrator?

Yes, obviously: the discrimination so prevalent in the past and in so many places that concerned people had to make laws to curtail it was just "the way things should be. Asking that rational behavior in the area of human rights be exercised is "cramming it down our throats."

Every time I hear a fundie complain about gays "shoving it down their throat" I suspect they protest too much and think of another Willy Shakespeare line: "Et tu, Fellatio?"

Hello.

No, I am afraid that telling a white lie to mother is not the same as getting someone fired from his or her job; likewise, divorce is not the same thing as violence or murder. Sins are not all equal in Christianity - that is utterly absurd. It's common sense that we feel more guilt for more serious sins, unless you're a sociopath. To think that someone can go out and commit terrible acts of violence and then suddenly say, "Now I can get born again through simple belief and be right up there with Mother Theresa." That is illogicality at its finest.

Heterosexuality is deeply ingrained in the culture and in our institutions. Where can you go and not see heterosexuality? Nothing wrong with it per say, although romantic love of all persuasions is not true love (based on lust and not love for love's sake).

How do you shove the gay lifestyle down someone's throat? I am curious to know. If you are not around big gay communities, I don't see how. And if a tv show has a gay characters or scenes, you can easily change the channel.

Just because you don't like how someone else lives does not give you the right to make life hard for him or her. A gay man or woman could feed the poor every day and make great sacrifices for humanity (both practicing and non-practicing homosexual). Would the fact of their being gay undo all the beautiful goodness? How can you let silly, stupid sexual attraction between consenting define a person? A person's sexuality means nothing in the end of the time.

I would agree, however, that sports and sports culture is forced down our throats all the time. lol. So is materialism, love of money, pornography, etc.

Many religious people of certain faiths like to put their religions on other people every day. That is just wrong. I don't know any atheists, agnostics or Buddhists who do this (not that they are all great and fabulous people, of course lol).

Take care

Oooo, a little naughty, but good. Another one that I have no Shakespearean quote for is, "These gays expect us Christians to bend over backwards for them."
