Does this look like "love" to anybody? Most contemporary evangelicals dislike when people accuse them of hating homosexuals, but if their version of "love" is actually love, what does hate look like? The "love" that evangelicals claim to have for the LGBT community looks an awful lot like hate to me. Thoughts?
Basically some of you are saying - it should be OK to fill yourself up on doughnuts for breakfast, pop-tarts for lunch, and hot dogs/potato chips for dinner, along with washing it down with your favorite sugary drink, because that's what you want. It doesn't matter that it's a bunch of empty calories that does not provide the proper fuel for your body. If I love you, your diet should not matter - I should be OK with it - regardless that it will cause diabetes by the age of 30.
I would think that love would want the best for a person. The gay lifestyle is simply a sugary substitute for real healthy man/woman relationships for which we are designed.

Ahh yes, because eating donuts, pop tarts, hot dogs/potato chips, and sugary beverages are EXACTLY the same as 2 men or 2 women loving each other. EXACTLY the same. Yep, no difference AT ALL....
You know what isn't healthy? Living your life as someone else, and hating yourself for it. Pretending to be someone you are not so people don't make fun of you or ostracize you. Study after study reveals that homosexuality, whether male or female, can take anywhere from 10, 20 to 30 years off of someone's lifespan. With all the attention on smoking, which the National Cancer Institute says takes anywhere from 7 to 10 years off someone's life, why not the same human outcry on homosexuality? Here's a behavior that's killing people 2 to 3 times the rate of smoking, yet nobody seems to care. In fact, we are encouraging and affirming individuals into the "gay" lifestyle. If you truly love someone, you would steer them away from self-destructive behaviors, rather than towards them, wouldn't you? Homosexuals need our tough love, not blind love, the kind of love that is going to love them no matter what they say and do. We must extend that helping hand and say " I think you're worth saving, let's work on it together."

In other words, the data is accurate, they just didn't want the political opposition to use it for their purposes.

I remain amazed at how much fundamentalists love gay sex. They cannot get enough of it. They aren't out feeding the hungry or tossing a ball with their kids..... they are reading up on all-things-gay.
