No, to satisfy God's holiness.

No, no, no. It's not about whether or not God sent Jesus for the purpose of dying. I don't see it that way, but that's another discussion. It's about what you believe God sent Jesus to die FOR ... and you believe it was to satisfy God's own angst about sin so that God could forgive and not condemn you to hell. From it's very core, there is nothing loving about that scenario.

There's no denying that the two are at odds with each other.
God's standard is love and holiness.

HOW does a brutal death satisfy holiness, which proceeds from love?

And again. If God IS love, then God's holiness proceeds from love, and whatever is contrary to love is not holy.

Again - I don't know what the underlined is with respect to God.

And if you believe that what you described is not loving - OK.

Not sure what you want here with the continuing discussion...

Thus the circle is complete. Thanks for the discussion.

It is not in respect to God ... it is in respect to your beliefs about God and eternal torment and the atonement theory you subscribe to.

Your pretended confusion as avoidance tactic is ... typical.

The same goes for the Father in heaven.
I didn't expect much from you and was not disappointed.
