Second Timothy Chapter 3
Perilous times and Perilous Men
But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come
for men will become lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, un-thankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of GOD, having a form of godliness but denying it's power. And from such people turn away!
For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lust, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth; men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; but they will progress no further, for their folly will be
manifested to all, as theirs also was.
Yes, believing Jesus is who he says he is Is good enough. (I Am that I Am). No one can come to the Father unless the Holy Spirit convicts them.
1 John chapter 4
The spirit of Truth and the Spirit Of Error
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
By this you know the spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that that does
not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
They are of the world. therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hear them.
We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
It's not denomination, but true belief that Jesus is Lord. Test the spirit and you'll find the right gathering of brothers and sisters in Christ with whom you can praise the name of Jesus Christ with! Salvation is not found in any religion; but in a person Jesus Christ!
