One of the ways the Republican Party has such a tight grip on evangelicals is because most of them believe it is a sin to not vote GOP. Even if a Christian agrees with the Democratic candidate on all issues, they cannot vote Democrat because of the party's stance on abortion and same-sex marriage. Therefore, you have a lot of people voting against their own interests because they believe it is a mortal sin if they don't. What better way to assure people will vote for you if your eternal soul is at stake if you do not?

Question is, do you believe this is the case? Personally, I don't believe the issue is that black and white and its spiritual abuse when a pastor or church ties a person's faith to their politics. What are your thoughts?

The Republican party is still not the Christian party , and there will be some who will spoil their vote in protest , and vote for no party or the party that is sure to lose ..... God expect people to vote on the conscience of the character of His Spirit which brings life

It is a "sin" to do anything just because it is popular with our peers. If we are not independent and think for ourselves, why bother living?

Anyone telling me not do vote for a Democrat is simply men trying to make women submit.
  • Men who claim birth control is an abortifacient.
  • Men who claim they know God better than I know God.
  • Men who claim to know my body better than I know my body.
  • Men who claim LGBTQ is a lifestyle choice.
  • The very same men who say, I must hate men because I will not submit to their beliefs
From the small, middle of nowhere pastors, to the mega church men with a microphone, men have been trying to tell women how to vote since we gained the right to vote.

Default Quite the opposite

"Do you believe its a mortal sin to vote Democrat?"

RESPONSE: Quite the contrary. Can't a more compelling case be made not to vote Republican?

LOL Lemon cookies today Nate. With tiny bits of lemon peel, sprinkled with sanding sugar.

Lemony goodness. I am not sure how they will go with tequila for the Super Tuesday party.
