Jesus said that His followers are cleaned by the word of God so they can bear more fruit. He also said that those who have a clean heart will see God. So in order to have a clean heart one must be cleaned by the word of God.
Jesus also said that from the believers heart will flow rivers of living water. He said to love God with all your heart. To love God keep His word. He said that whatever your heart is full of that is what your mouth will speak.
So there it is. The heart is full of the word of God which is living water as scripture states.
So don't you think Jesus actually taught that the word of God cleans those who spread it?
IE;
"I am the true vine and my Father is the vine grower. He prunes away every branch in me that bears no fruit but trims clean the fruitful ones to increase their yield.Yet you are cleaned by the word I have spoken to you."
"Blessed are the clean of heart, they will see God."
"From the believers heart shall flow rivers of living water."
"Anyone who drinks the water I give him shall never become thirsty the water I give him shall be like a well inside him springing up to provide eternal life."

Explain spirit and truth please. Quoting bible verses is not explaining what spirit and truth is.
As Jesus said "(Father)Your word is truth."

"The words I spoke to you are spirit and life."
So it is God's word which is written in scripture that is spirit, truth and life.

I hope one say that you get to know the one the scriptures testify of, it is above and beyond knowing bible verses, and trying to stick them on yourself like they're a band aid.
