They remade Ben Hur. Here is the trailer but it won't be out until August. I think they are making many biblical and biblical themed movies this year.

Not sure if Morgan Freeman was a good choice for the movie, I will just think about all the commercials he has made. Seems all the new movies are more action/special effects anymore and don't do as much character development. The old Ben Hur movie may be the best.

Oh, in my opinion, there's no way the remake can come anywhere close to the original Ben Hur movie.

"The Passion” follows Jesus as he presides over the Last Supper, is betrayed by Judas, put on trial by Pontius Pilate, convicted, crucified and resurrected. A thousand volunteers will carry a 20-foot illuminated cross from the iconic Superdome stadium through the streets of the French Quarter, along Canal Street and Bourbon Street, to New Orleans' Woldenberg Park, on the bank of the Mississippi River. A crowd of up to 40,000 people will line the streets and fill the concert venue to watch “The Passion” live, and fans across America will watch the live telecast on Fox.

And when the concert ends, local Catholic and Protestant churches—including St. Louis Cathedral, just across the street from the concert venue—will open their doors for “after-Passion” events. People who may have heard about Jesus' death and Resurrection for the first time are invited to come in and learn more. Maps will be distributed, letting people know where they can find a church holding an “after-Passion” welcoming event.

The live two-hour program will run from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time (7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Central) on Fox, and is time-delayed in the Pacific Time Zone.

I tuned in just about the time Judas was snitching on Jesus. As we watched, the camera panned the audience and my wife's first comments were--LOOK AT ALL THOSE INSPIRED PEOPLE..ARE WE SUPPOSED TO BE INSPIRED LIE THEM?

I instantly broke out in a refrain of Eleanor Rigby--LOOK AT ALL THOSE INSPIRATIONAL PEOPLE, WHERE DO THEY ALL COME FROM..

Looked like a Trump rally where the people are paid to smile and look engaged.

That is not at all what I was referring to. Actors play roles in movies. Their personal life has no bearing on what roles they portray in films. I understand that Max von Sydow who played the role of Jesus in 'The Greatest Story Every Told' is either an agnostic or an atheist. Nevertheless, that movie is one of my all time favorites.
