If you believe destruction is the final end for those people, then you are believing like a Sadducee which Jesus told us to avoid.

It was--JESUS-- who said they will be destroyed. We all must choose who we believe--Jesus knew this and taught--FEW will find the road that leads off into life( eternal) --- so who is wrong-- Jesus or your teachers???

You added the word "(eternal)" after "life." Jesus never said nor intimated that.

Jesus also said He came for the lost/destroyed sheep of the House of Israel. No one is so destroyed they cannot be saved. In fact, destruction is often a prerequisite to being saved by Christ.

Did not Jesus say the Good Shepherd seeks the lost sheep till He find it? And we know the Bible uses the same exact Greek word for "lost" and "destroyed."

So who is wrong? Neither Jesus nor our teachers.

Your teachers are in error--- Fire in revelation = destruction. the Lake of fire= the second death= destruction. God is not a sadist to make mere sinful mortals suffer an eternity. All the teachings about an eternal suffering is symbolism for the value of what is lost by being destroyed in the lake of fire.
The value= As each new day dawns in Gods kingdom, those destroyed in the lake of fire, miss each day for eternity. Lost and destroyed maybe the same greek word yet both carry separate meanings.
Everyone who knows Jesus, knows he spoke of eternal life in that statement just as he spoke of eternal destruction in that statement. The darkness does not know.

No, your teachers are in error if they don't agree with me.

I am not of the persuasion God will torture any human . . . ever.

The Bible never mentions the lake of fire or destruction is eternal. So why do you say it is?

It is referred as to eternal--with 0 doubt. Some teach it as eternal hellfire--Why--because Gods written word assuredly shows it to be eternal. But it is destruction, not eternal suffering.

Those who are so certain of things they cannot possibly be certain of will have some explaining to do in the next life. If they have engaged in convincing others to be the same way their burden will be even greater. Faith has nothing to do with being certain and convincing others of anything. It is just faith that Jesus did what He said He did for us, period.

But your understanding runs counter to what God has revealed. How can God be All in all (1 Cor.15:22-28) if there will be some of the all eternally destroyed?

How will God save all mankind due to Christ ransoming all if some are eternally destroyed (1 Timothy 2:4-6)?

How will God reconcile ALL in the heavens and ALL on the earth to Himself if some are eternally destroyed? (Colossians 1:20).

How will all mankind bow the knee in the name of Jesus and happily acclaim Him Lord to the glory of God, the Father, if some are eternally destroyed (Philippians 2:8-11)? Just to name a few.

You must have missed---God is God of the living, not the dead. He was referring to those still living--the living will amount to--ALL.

...which by that logic would mean EVERYBODY alive today as well including the unsaved which I don't think you agree with...Regarding not being the God of the dead as well, We'll just have to conveniently overlook the fact that the bible says that David said God would be there "in sheol" (the grave)..and the dead will rise...and God rules heaven too which last I checked are full of Angels and dead people...Yeah, rather than use bible gymnastics to explain away the use of the word 'all' in so many reconciliation verses, I tend to think God is God of ALL created things past, present, and future.
