If Christianity really is true, then how is a person who has grown up worshiping the wrong "god" or "gods" ever saved? If they continue believing in their god until they day they die, and they have never known about the so-called true God that you worship. (That of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Jesus, etc)

In evangelical "theory" those outside the ONE-TRUE-RELIGION (aka god) are destined for dam,nation--regardless of WHY they never were made aware or rejected the pre-determined "truth."

Not sure how they arrive at this other than they continue to use FEAR of damnation as a selling point for their delusional god-in-the-tiny-box-of-insecurities.

Contrary to what others may say, when a person dies, God determines if a person who doesn't believe in Him, goes to Heaven or not. No human beings can correctly answer that question.
Just for the record, contrary to what others may say, NO ONE is "saved" while they are still alive. When a living person claims that they are "saved", it means that that person believes that he or she has decided that they are worthy of going to Heaven. In other words, they believe that God is unnecessary and unimportant. Only THEIR opinion matters. That is known as blasphemy. In Christianity, it is the worst sin that a person can commit.
The "I'm Saved" doctrine is nothing more than blasphemous filth.

They will have the opportunity to hear, understand and either accept or reject the gospel of Jesus Christ after they die but before they stand before God to be judged. God would not give a commandment (i.e. that one must believe in Jesus Christ in order to be saved) and then simply disregard it in judging the billions who lived and died without even having that opportunity.

To whom it may concern, let no one deceive you with their deceitful words of lies,

Deuteronomy 4:35 (NASB)
To you it was shown that you might know that the Lord, He is God; there is no other besides Him.

Deuteronomy 4:39 (NASB)
Know therefore today, and take it to your heart, that the Lord, He is God in heaven above and on the earth below; there is no other.

Deuteronomy 6:4 (NASB)
“Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one!

1 Corinthians 8:6 (NASB)
Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him.

We are promised in this life that Jesus Christ has come to save us from our sins, from the wrath to come to all those who do not believe and are disobedient to God's truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ .
If anyone says to you, you are not saved now in this life has come to deceive you and lead you astray from God's truth !!! Do not listen to anything they have to say for they are false teachers of the will of the Father !

Acts 16:30-31
And after he brought them out, he said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

1 John 4:14 (NASB)
We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.

Acts 4:12
"And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”
...........Romans 10:9
................That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

...............Acts 10:43 (NASB)
..............."Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins.”

1 Timothy 2:5-6 (NASB)
5 For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time.

Titus 3:4-6 (NASB)
4 But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared,
5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,
6 whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,

John 10:8-10 (NASB)
8 All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them.
9 I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

John 3:16-18 (NASB)
16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
18 He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Acts 2:20-21 (NASB)
20‘The sun will be turned into darkness
And the moon into blood,
Before the great and glorious day of the Lord shall come.
21‘And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’

Romans 10:13
for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Ephesians 2:8
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.

There are many more scripture to show that we are saved in this life through Jesus Christ our Lord !!

They aren't ... they are saved by listening to Jesus as he told his believers to do:
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all people."
and of himself ( nobody\nothing else), Jesus said:
"I am the light of the world.

"I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness."

there is no after death opportunities as God revealed:
Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his
voice
and come out—those who have done what is good will rise to live,
and
those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned."
"Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life;
and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation"
KJV:
If there was some sort of after death opportunity ... God would not have revealed this:
"I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee:
behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation."
KJV
nothing else is accepted.

Pagans don't need "saving."

It's a Christian concept. And they can keep it. I don't know of any other belief system that teaches humans are bad from birth.

It's an "absolute" bad... when properly measured with God's standard.

You are speaking of a "relative" bad... when measured with our own standards.

If you mean come into community with God, first of all it is difficult to tell whether they ARE in such community or not because it is not about an intellectual knowledge of "Jehovah and Jesus," but a bout a commitment to the Way Jesus taught whether they ever heard of Jesus or not. Assume they are not in such community and they will have the same oportunities to learn as anyone else, including nominal Christians who have not entered that community and encountered that Spirit that is our Guide;.
