1. They point to a specific, personal conversion experience in which they are "born again" or "saved." According to PrayerFoundation.com, "individuals (above an age of accountability) must personally trust in Jesus Christ for salvation."

EVIL to use your word because the concept of BORN AGAIN implies GOD got it wrong the first time.

2. Evangelical Christians believe in the Bible as God's inspired Word to humankind, perfect in truth in the original text. It is the "final authority in all matters of doctrine and faith — above all human authority," according to EvangelicalBeliefs.com.

Continuing to use your word EVIL, IT IS NOT INSPIRED, it is written by MORTAL MEN who wanted to PLEASE authority and power and perpetuate a patriarchal society.

3. Evangelicals believe the work of Jesus on the cross, through his death and resurrection, is the only source of salvation and forgiveness of sins. PrayerFoundation.com makes it clear that salvation is through faith alone.

People can do nothing to earn their way to heaven. Instead, as EvangelicalBeliefs.com points out, believers do "good works in grateful response to our pardon, not to cause it."

Not the forgiveness of sin--BECAUSE WE CONTINUALLY SIN--if it were true that forgiveness of sin gained entry, we would cease to SIN...sin is unavoidable--it is why we sin (intent) that matters and how we try to avoid doing wrong / harming others in the future.

4. Evangelical Christians are strongly motivated to share the gospel either one-on-one or through organized missions. Emphasis is placed on the Great Commission's call to share with the world the Christian message of salvation through Christ, and to "be publicly baptized as a confession of faith," according to PrayerFoundation.com.

Again, your word EVIL because it INTIMIDATES others. Evangelicals whine like a child who has been ignored too long when JWs come knowing on the door--what do they think others are feeling when the evangelical says I HAVE THE TRUTH and ONLY WAY TO ETERNAL LIFE. When they tell us OR ELSE, and never realize how condescending that is, they appear stupid, rude and self-righteous.

5. Most, though not all, evangelicals believe there will be a rapture in the end times where the church will be "caught up with Christ before the Great Tribulation, leaving nonbelievers behind to suffer on Earth," states the Pew Research Center. This idea has gained attention through the "Left Behind" book series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins, and the related movies.

You can sit around, waiting for the rapture as generations of evangelicals have done all while rejecting their neighbors and community because gittb will make everything alright so let the world go to hell in a hand basket--JUST KEEP PRAYING GOD COMES SOON TO SAVE US FROM THE HELL WE HAVE MADE HERE ON EARTH..

Incorrect at most points. Honest appraisal of the gospel reveals few of the charges to be based on truth and accepted interpretations.

Love does NOT conquer all. Specifically it does not conquer the grave nor does love provide just recompense for sin. Love is an obsolete term. It is obsolete in secular society, except among those who want to use it as an excuse to get their agenda accomplished. It is obsolete in polite society and used so often and is so common its become diluted and means less than 'good morning'. It is obsolete in spiritual interpretation because it is thought to be the basis for all that God is and does. It isn't. Above all things God is righteous. Righteousness defines how a man is to act and it defines sin. Love doesn't absolve man from sin. Never did. Never will.

1. Born again is a reference to a spiritual conversion. It became necessary when Adam and Eve sinned against God. When sin came into the world (read Genesis chapter 3), all of creation was affected. Man died spiritually. MAN SINNED. Not God. God got it right the first time. Man perverted God's creation and intent. God's solution was the second birth - spiritual regeneration. Unless a man is born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God. Dead men see nothing.

In addition, there is more than trust involved in the experience. Christianity is a RELATIONAL religion. It's all about one's relationship with Jesus, which cannot being without the second birth. Judgment is based upon this restored relationship, not good works and not even sin.

2. The Bible was written by men inspired by the Holy Spirit. It would not have survived six thousand years of human history if the guiding hand of the Lord had not preserved it against ALL THOSE who sought to disparage its content and destroy its publication. The fact that there is a Bible at all is a miracle of God. When you hold one in your hand you are touching a true miracle.

3. Partly true. Those who are saved and who continue to sin are subject to IMMEDIATE judgment of God. While the rest of the world waits for final judgment at the White Throne of God, Christians who sin are punished immediately. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A LICENSE TO SIN. Not for anybody. Not ever.

4. Again partly true. Once upon a time, personal proselytizing was encouraged. Not so much any more. Warning a person about eternal damnation is tantamount to warning someone to escape a burning building or to remove one's investments from a corrupt stock market trading organization, or from warning a heavy smoker to stop acting like a human chimney. In all cases, you'll find individuals who resent being advised to cease their self-destructive tendencies. THIS IS the nature of sin acting upon a human personality. Sinners hate to be told to adopt good habits.......or to be saved. It is human nature pure and simple.

It is also a command of God upon Christians to witness to the world of their salvation. Jesus said to do it. If you don't like this, complain to Him.

5. The rapture is a lie. Invented by John Nelson Darby in the mid 19th century, it became a popular heresy among Christians which continues to this day. Google Darby. The man was also a consort of witches. Unfortunately the rapture and tribulation stories are wrong.

and that's me, hollering from the choir loft...

So basically you AGREE with 3 out of 5....

So, this is also inspired of GOD, since it is OLDER than the scriptures---

Oldest Surviving Religious Texts

The pyramids of Egypt are amazing structures built by the greatest craftsmen of their era (not slaves and definitely not aliens). They were built as a resting place for Egypt’s rulers, and the walls were lined with stories and spells designed to help the soul on its journey to the afterlife. The oldest of these inscriptions comes from the pyramids of Unas and are the oldest surviving religious texts in the world. The texts bring us the earliest description of Osiris, Egypt’s king of the dead. They are written in a way that suggests the words were designed to be chanted, or at least spoken allowed. The description of ascent to the afterlife is rather poetic, comparing spirits to herons, haws, and grasshoppers leaping into the air. A full English translation is available online should you wish to try any of the spells for yourself.

Here is a list of texts / documents, many of which are THOUSANDS of YEARS old and should therefore be considered INSPIRED-- they would not have survived thousands years of human history if the guiding hand of the Lord had not preserved it against ALL THOSE who sought to disparage its content and destroy its publication.

10 Oldest Surviving Documents Of Their Type

Then all these religious texts are also INSPIRED, as they have survived THOUSANDS OF YEARS...

Nope, I embrace everything He taught, but thanks for claiming otherwise.

Lets add insults to the fruits of the wrong spirit: disgust, lies, false testimony and insults. We have seen it all just today.

AMEN and especially to number 5, yes it is a lie. Our hope is Christ in us, not in flying away. Peace

It is a lie.

If what you said about your past is true (you were a part of a judgmental denomination), then you have been judging people all your life, the only thing that changed was the people you judge. You used to judge non-christians, and today you judge christians. On top of that you feel permanently disgusted. Its not a good way to live.

Embrace Christ and He will give you peace.
No, I didn't say you do not worship Jesus, I SAID YOU MAKE THE BOOK EQUAL TO JESUS. You have a god with four heads, not three.

You are the one deflecting about what you really believe. But light is showing into your darkest corners.

I don't judge Christians, that's God's job. I rebuke Pharisees. Consider yourself one.
