When Jesus was tempted did He repent? No, He was righteous and so was Job.

No, it is the works that are the belief. Mainstream Christianity thinks faith and belief begets the Holy Spirit. But it is the works of God done by the son/child of light that makes the spirit holy.

When Jesus said that those who believe in Him will do the works He did He was describing belief in Him. That is , how to believe in Him. Doing His works shows Him you believe in Him.

No. Not really. That's a result of why they were righteous. What was the thing that made Job righteous?

Have you really been studying the Bible all this time and you still don't know that
"Repenting" is the only way to pass the devil's tests?
That's pretty much the whole point of the Bible.

I'm seriously worried about you peace giver

I believe the gospel (the good news) as it was revealed to Paul, not the stuff Peacegiver is posting.

Righteousness is a gift, just as the old covenant practice of the lamb taking your sin and giving you righteousness was a shadow of the new covenant.

God told of this new covenant when He spoke to Jeremiah, "This is the name whereby He shall be called: The LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. (Jer. 23:6)

Don't be like Israel and try to establish your own righteousness.

It is written that those who serve the Lord are righteous and those who do not are wicked. So when Jesus said to serve God and worship Him in spirit and truth He was describing those who would be righteous because He said those who are truthful by the word of God are righteous.

IE;

"Job 1:1 NIV

1 In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil.

Ezekiel 14:14 NIV

14 even if these three men—Noah, Daniel and Job—were in it, they could save only themselves by their righteousness, declares the Sovereign LORD.

"Then you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked. Between those who serve God and those who do not serve Him."

"In days to come I shall raise up a righteous shoot to David"

"Worship God alone Him alone shall you serve."

"God is spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth"

"Whoever seeks the glory of the One who sent him is truthful and there is no unrighteousness in him."

"Whoever acts in truth comes to the light so his deeds are revealed as works of God."

Agree?

Seems like you're starting to see the truth....
