The idiocy of this thread is the assertion that God NEEDS anything from us. Well and then there's the idiocy of those who think it praiseworthy to think only themselves worthy of praise...

I have never praised God because I believe my praise is something He needs. I praise Him in acknowledging that He is the giver of all good gifts.

Default Why does god need praise?

God does NOT need praise. That is something men have decided using their egos. WE need to express love for God and each other because it develops and matures our Spirit and brings us closer to God.

How can anything be praised for being invincible and capable of literally anything? Don't you think given that, it has an unfair advantage, LOL? What is it going out of its way to do considering it can whisk its hand and literally anything it wants to happen, will happen?

What deserves praise is people. People who overcome what is hard. Because they aren't invincible and they can feel pain and agony (and not have the choice to just not do anything about it). People who overcome deserve praise.

It's kind of silly that God could "need" anything, or, for that matter, even "want" anything. The very word "want" connotes lack. God cannot possibly lack unless he wants to lack, and even then he knows it is literally a celestial finger-snap away should he decide he doesn't feel like the self-imposed wait anymore. So how agonizing could that possibly be? Compare that to a starving child who literally can not get food. Can't, period. Full stop. And knows this. But doesn't break into someone's house and steal food in order to stop the incredible pain of starvation...or grab away the few grains of rice from her sister's bowl. That's praise-worthy.

God doesn't need praise. Where did you get the idea that he does?

That is why we are to overcome and endure to the end. It is also why Jesus had to be 100% human or He would have achieved nothing for the rest of us 100% humans.
