Thank God it's not just me! I thought it might be a recurring symptom of the magic mushroom incident . . .

Sorry to hear about the mushroom misidentification.
Typically Death angels are lethal.

The bible nowhere says homosexuality is one of the sins for which they received punishment from the heavens. Attempt of gang rape is not about sexual orientation; it is about exerting power and domination over a victim regardless of their sex.

But let's imagine that the people of Sodom and Gomorrah had accepted Lot's offer to rape his daughters because they were offered without consent. Would you also be saying today that they were punished because of heterosexuality? Would you also blame heterosexuality?

Do you support a man lying with a woman, even if it is prostitution?

There was never places called Sodom and Gomorrah.

They are part of a myth. A made up story. Sorta like Santa Claus and Never Never Land.

Whay are you concerned with such CARNAL things when we are told that God is interested in SPIRITUAL things (i.e., what is in our hearts and minds, not what we do carnally)???? The obsession with carnality is depressing and counterproductive to spiritual development and maturity.

True, but that doesn't necessarily matter. The destruction of the cities is not even the point of the story. It's a means to move the story forward, to make the main character end up in isolation, his wife gone, living in the hills with only his daughters, whom he will impregnate and start two nations that are enemies of Israel. And the story probably started around a fire on a long winter night near some ruins that could be pointed to..."See where those cities used to be? Well, here's what happened..."

I'm all for humour, with or without the "u."

I'm capable of missing puns, no doot aboot it. But I'm also not always able to plug into the same dimension as some of the less-tethered-to-reality posters here.

You may, or may not, consider yourself one of those - depending on your state of being when reading this.

Nope, they'd be cheering Lot for his righteous decision to offer up his daughters to be ganged raped. And yet we're supposed to listen to the moral ramblings of evangelicals who are ok with that?
