I do. There are so many scriptures stating that God is sovereign and that he does as he pleases and works his purpose through all things in heaven and earth. All souls are his. Therefore, whoever speaks condemnation is setting him/herself up in God's place. Whoever sets himself in God's place shall be brought down. The proud cannot stand in his presence. God's sovereignty is a comforting thing to meditate on if you know him. Jesus Christ holds the keys of death and hell because God has greatly exalted him to be the head over all things concerning the Kingdom.

Psalm 135:6
Whatever the LORD pleases, He does, In heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps.

Psalm 115:3
But our God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases.

Isaiah 46:10
Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, 'My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure'

Daniel 4:35
"All the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, But He does according to His will in the host of heaven And among the inhabitants of earth; And no one can ward off His hand Or say to Him, 'What have You done?'

Romans 9:19-21
You will say to me then, "Why does He still find fault? For who resists His will?" On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, "Why did you make me like this," will it? Or does not the potter have a right over the clay, to make from the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for common use?

Luke 1:37
"For nothing will be impossible with God."

Job 42:2
"I know that You can do all things, And that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted.

Matthew 19:26
And looking at them Jesus said to them, "With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

and he said, "O LORD, the God of our fathers, are You not God in the heavens? And are You not ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations? Power and might are in Your hand so that no one can stand against You.

Job 9:12
"Were He to snatch away, who could restrain Him? Who could say to Him, 'What are You doing?'

Isaiah 43:13
"Even from eternity I am He, And there is none who can deliver out of My hand; I act and who can reverse it?"

Isaiah 45:9-10
"Woe to the one who quarrels with his Maker-- An earthenware vessel among the vessels of earth! Will the clay say to the potter, 'What are you doing?' Or the thing you are making say, 'He has no hands'? "Woe to him who says to a father, 'What are you begetting?' Or to a woman, 'To what are you giving birth?'"

Acts 5:39
but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them; or else you may even be found fighting against God."

Acts 17:24
"The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands;

Let's look at this premise with some LOGIC (something cultist evangelicals claim does NOT apply to their god in the tiny box)

God is or rather can do what ever She wants----She (according to this hypothesis) can have TWO people, identical in every way, and take one to paradise and let the other fall into the "flames": or eternal torment.

Now all the cultists are CRYING--god in the tiny box would never do that!

But are we sure? The cultists just claimed that She HAS THE SOVEREIGNTY of FREEWILL to do just this---should She WANT to.

She is able to overlook atrocities like GENOCIDE, SLAVERY, CHILD MURDER, CHILD RAPE and NOT hold a nation responsible for intervening and preventing such, but She will utterly DESTROY a nation for SSM??? She will reign down pain on the nation for not intervening and preventing SSM???

I really admire all the scripture slinging, but I would suggest TWO major verses have been OMITTED--whether it accidental, willfully or through ignorance of not knowing the mythological bible, only God knows--

1. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

What was overlooked before, will continue to be overlooked today, and what has been punished in the past will continue to be punished today.

2. For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

To do one thing yesterday and another thing tomorrow is CONFUSION. If She did this, how could we ever rely on Her to do right? If we are always guessing what She will do next, that is not only authoring confusion, but DOUBT and FEAR.

God's Sovereignty is a great comfort to me. One of my favourite verses on it is Isaiah 45:7: I form the light, and create darkness. I make peace and create calamity: I the Lord do all these things.

"Sovereignty" yes, "micromanagement," no.

If He counts the number of hairs on our head, that sounds like micromanagement to me - you can't say He is Sovereign over all, except the small things - that's a contradiction. And yes what a great comfort is the Sovereignty of God!

Knowing about those hairs and controlling them are two different things, and your "comfort" is an abrogation of responsibility: "it's all up to God."

Let me just say, while I do believe in the sovereignty of God, I do not believe that everything that happens on the earth is his will. I realize that sounds like a paradox, but paradoxes can be true. No, I do not believe God directly causes evil. I know some people do believe that. And yes, I do believe that all will receive Jesus Christ as savior, but I also believe in judgement and that many will be hurt in the Lake of Fire.

Correct. Sovereign is what God is. Man accepts or rejects that. Those who have rejected it, cause evil.

Agreed. As Creator he has as much a right to do what he wants with his creation as a potter has the right to do what he wants with clay.

Having said that, I'd point out that anyone that believes in an evolutionary, atheistic worldview simply believes that our "choices" are simply reactions to stimulus that we take in. There really is no "free will" there -- there is just reaction.
